My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a romantic getaway in St. Louis. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The hotel has nice rooms for a reasonable rate. Our room included breakfast for 2 in their restaurant. The food was excellent. The only downside to our suite was there was no refrigerator and no microwave. Parking is easy and convenient as well.
Oh my god.... If you get the right room on the 3rd floor you can see the sunset on the afternoon around 5pm. It is amazing. The room is good. Good enough for me. Has a fridge and toaster. Nice shower. Safe area too. Only negative: the doors have LOUSY locks and it doesn't close all the way at the top bottom does. I put a chair against the door. And I have dogs. I know they are in the process of fixing the doors. They has been renovations in the past year. FYI There are 3 or 4 hotels within 10 miles with the same name. Extended stay America.
My wife and I stayed here on November 8 while visiting our son, a student at Lindenwood University nearby. The hotel is a short distance from campus and there are a lot of dining choices very close to the hotel. We were able to check in early and found the room to be extremely clean. The reception staff was friendly and breakfast was better than what we often find in hotels, particularly the waffles, bacon, and fresh fruit.
I can verify one complaint from other reviews: there is a gap under the room door that allows noise from the hallway into the room. Fortunately this didn't disturb us much.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit St. Charles.
