This hotel was perfect for our needs. The room, though small, was clean and comfortable. The idea was to be outside most of the time. The pool area was clean and the pool was refreshing. I love that there are beach umbrellas and chairs for rent from an independent vendor available on site.
I stayed there with my 3 yr old, 5 yr old, and my hubby. It was roomy enough for us, had a nice large television, and a table for us to eat snacks. they need to update their website because the bedding and possibly also the carpet is new whereas it looks quite outdated on their website. It was right before Memorial day weekend and to coke machines were not filled- not sure if this is seasonal or just a fluke of this visit. Its a great buy , right across from a great beach.
Loved this place. Staff is great !!! Room was great. They bring you breakfast every morning and it's really good. Beds are very comfortable The only thing I could say is I was shocked I had to pay about 35.00 for room keys that I turned in when I checked out. I'm not sure if that gets refunded or not but I saw the charge for them on my credit card after I got home. Can't say I've ever been charged to use room keys that I turned in. Other than that this place is great !!!
Four girls took a trip to St.Augustine Beach to celebrate their college graduation. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, but the staff were not friendly at all. There were several opportunities were staff could have been more polite to their guests. Overall, the room was clean, breakfast was good, and the hotel was not very crowded which we enjoyed. I would stay at this hotel again, but would hope the staff are more thoughtful about how they treat guests.
The other guests all brought lawn chairs with them and spent the evening sitting out on the "porch" of the motel drinking and smoking which made for an uncomfortable entrance and exit from our room under the states of strangers.
St. Augustine Beach is a small town 6 miles southeast of St. Augustine on Anastasia Island. Anastasia State Park is directly to the north. The town boasts miles of beaches. Local activities include golf and deep-sea fishing excursions. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm, north of town, was founded in 1893 and houses a variety of alligators and reptiles.
