“you'll enjoy Deer Park Hotel”

A sanctuary after spending the day in the heat. It's a convenient distance from the cultural triangle and the big lake in front of it is very scenic

“Good hotel to see central Sri Lanka!”

This is not hotel on the lake, as it may appear from pics, while some deluxe bungalos overview the lake over local road. This is real hotel in the jungles, very natural and nice! Good design, good management, good food - buffet when a lot of visitors, and ala carte in more intimate moments. You ll need driver and car to travell around, its very reliale and cost about 120$... Car from/to Colombo was 160$ for us (7 hours).. 2-3 days needed to see all places around!
