“Hotel Ruby, the "new" Rodeway Inn”
One of Spokane's newest remakes (formerly the Rodeway Inn on W 1st), Hotel Ruby is small but comfortable, having amenities that I've not found in larger hotel rooms. Perhaps that is the only downside is that the room is small but has: Comfy bed, 2 pillows/person, big flat screen wall-mounted TV, fridge, microwave, coffee, plush towels, comfortable shower facility, substantial breakfast with much room for sitting and eating, a quiet and powerful AC. Parking is limited but nearby parking is available. Great location across from the majestic Davenport Hotel and a few blocks from the Riverfront Park and all shops, the falls, beautiful bridges, etc. Economical too.
“Nice Alternative in Downtown Spokane”
I was attending a conference at the Davenport and could not afford the hotel. This was across the street and was a convenient alternative. The room was clean and comfortable.
“Great hotel located downtown for them on a budget!”
great location for cheap! Nice room for some it might be small but it did suits us! Deco is up to date!
“Diamond in the rough”
Hotel Ruby was a pleasant surprise. It seemed to be a former motel/hotel in the heart of downtown Spokane. However, they have really put some nice touches on the place and created a much more modern establishment.
“Ruby Hotel”
Very lovely
“Not bad”
Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Great location. Under construction. Small parking lot but ok to park in a lot across the street. Although it was just updated it could still use a few mort updates. Not bad for the price.
“Quality Service, Renovated rooms, good value”
The hotel was undergoing renovations but there was no work noise that I heard. I This hotel setting is more like a motel, in that the doors to rooms open directly outside. So, I could hear obnoxious people yelling at night (I think there was a concert going on down the street.) It is an older building but they did a nice job renovating the rooms with artsy themes. The rooms had little fridges and microwaves which was nice. Nice large flat screen TVs. Most importantly the beds were very comfortable and I'm picky (like softer mattresses). I think they may have had an issue with the plumber doing the renovations because my room only seemed to have hot water coming from both the hot and cold faucet. Staff was very friendly and they had a nice continental breakfast for free. I was attending a conference at the Davenport but didn't want to pay big $ for the room; the Ruby was just across the street. It was a good value for the money.
“Great location, newly remodeled rooms, on the small side, limited parking”
newly remodeled hotel...the rooms are nice, everything looked new and clean. the parking is very limited and the rooms are on the small side, but you can t beat the location
“Great value and location”
Very nice guy at check in and was able to recommend places to eat and drink in the downtown area, and you couldn't be in a more central location in downtown Spokane- less than 5 minutes to the mall, restaurants and bars. The room was spacious and clean, with everything you would need for a short break. The bathroom was a bit dated, and the sink was in the room not the bathroom, but everything was in good working order and clean. Was described as a boutique hotel, which I am not sure I would agree with, having stayed in boutique hotels in Europe, but for the price and location I would definitely recommend the Ruby for a short stay in Spokane.
“Downtown Spokane”
I thought this hotel was good value for the price when combined with airline ticket. It was in the heart of the city. The rooms are very clean but the windows needed to be cleaned to appreciate the view.
