“Cannot be better for the price”
about the only bad things about this hotel are #1 the roomas are a little on the small side and #2 there's no ground floor, all rooms are 2nd and 3rd, with parking underneath. Rooms are very clean, modern, very comfortable beds, flatscreen tv, fridge, micro, coffee. Hotel staff is awesome. Located right downtown. Best of all, for me anyway, the parking lot is hidden from the street, no one can see your vehicle, except other guests. There's a Ramada about a block away that i used to stay at, but Ruby's has WAY nicer rooms, for LESS $$$. For the price, you could not do better for downtown Spokane.
“Best hotel in Spokane!”
Hotel Ruby is motel-style on the outside, hotel-like on the inside. Once it has been remodeled, it's fancy, but that didn't reflect on the rate. If you have an iPod, they got an alarm clock/radio that let you play it. The wi-fi keeps dropping on me, but to me, not a big deal. This hotel is located downtown, close to the Plaza, where you can catch buses to anywhere in Spokane.
“Very nice stay...unique and charming hotel”
What an awesome place. Conveniently located downtown. The hotel is decorated in artsy decor. The rooms are a little small, but the hotel itself is great.
“Hidden Spokane Treasure!”
The price was very good and the bed was extremely comfortable which is what we wanted. The room is simple with a big screen TV. Breakfast in the AM was okay but we do not eat big breakfast so was adequate for us. We were able to walk around downtown and had a lot of fun :)
“Simply put....one of those great surprises......”
I won't be long-winded here. This small hotel, from the outside, first had the appearance of your standard little downtown motel. Not so. The rooms were modern, clean, classy, colorful and tech-savy. You add warm, friendly and attentive service, both from the front desk and housekeeping and a very reasonable price...it becomes a killer combination. Thanks! I'll be back for a longer stay next time ;-) ~steveT
“Spokanes secret Jewel”
Great spot, right downtown and for the price a bargain. Cool update on an formerly scary hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, great decor. The coffee pot was dirty though and the shower head was loose from the wall. Will definately stay again.

“Hotel Ruby, the "new" Rodeway Inn”
One of Spokane's newest remakes (formerly the Rodeway Inn on W 1st), Hotel Ruby is small but comfortable, having amenities that I've not found in larger hotel rooms. Perhaps that is the only downside is that the room is small but has: Comfy bed, 2 pillows/person, big flat screen wall-mounted TV, fridge, microwave, coffee, plush towels, comfortable shower facility, substantial breakfast with much room for sitting and eating, a quiet and powerful AC. Parking is limited but nearby parking is available. Great location across from the majestic Davenport Hotel and a few blocks from the Riverfront Park and all shops, the falls, beautiful bridges, etc. Economical too.
“Biz Trip”
I had been two weeks prior, and received the same great service, awesome bed, and very clean room. Will definatly stay here, everyone is friendly, and for the price, you cant beat the Boutique room, and you are close to great shopping and great restaurants
“Under construction but not lacking in service”
The hotel was currently still under construction but we knew that when we booked. We arrived early and our room was ready for us. We were in Spokane for a concert at the Knitting Factory and the hotel was literally across the street. We were within walking distance to the mall and a great sushi restaurant which was all we really needed in our short 3-day stay. For the price of the hotel you can't beat the central location of downtown Spokane and when all the construction is finished it will be very updated.
