“Long Island Hotel”

The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. I am never sure what I am getting into when I make these reservations on-line. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was also only a few minutes from Islip Airport, which was very convenient for me.

“Newer hotel, very pleasant stay.”

This is a newer hotel, we were really surprised how clean it was. We had a child with us and they gave us free upgrade to a suite. The spare bed was not very comfortable but it was in a separate room so we had great time. Will recommend to others.

“Good hotel”

Very good experience. The bed was very comfortable, the room had everything I needed, I had no problems accessing the internet. The people were nice. Breakfast was included, which was a nice bonus. Not much in the area, and the shuttle needs to be scheduled in advance, or else you may not get the time you want, this was definitely the case for me. Overall, however, a good experience, i would recommend this hotel if you're looking for something in the stony brook area.

“Great hotel!!!”

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Never have any problems with the room or the continental breakfast which includes hot food as well as cold cereal. Always late check in available. Would stay there again.

“Excellent place to stay”

Holiday Inn Express in StonyBrook is very convenient since it is close to supermarkets, restaurants and about 5 minutes away from the Mall. Love this place!

“Make sure you get a suite on the 6th floor - they are AMAZING!!”

We got a suite on the 6th floor and it was amazing - huge and very comfortable, it was a shame we were only there for one night! Be sure to use the free shuttle van to get around in instead of taxi's if you are heading to Stonybrook University. Nothing nearby within walking distance and it is on a highway, so if you want food and drink be sure to buy it before you check in. There is a little shop in the lobby but not a wide range to choice for you there.

“Very accommodating”

Hotel shuttle was quick and courteous in picking me up from the train station and then dropping me off at the university campus the next day. Free printing, and the woman at the desk let me borrow a pair of scissors when I asked.

“Great location for SUNY Stony Brook events”

Great location for any events beng held at SUNY Stony Brook. The facilities and the staff were great - the front desk was extremely helpful. I would rate this as a great value when all factors are considered.
