Complimentary transportation is available to and from the Maine Mall (0.5 mile) and the airport (2.5 miles). A championship golf course is next door to the hotel, downtown Portland is five miles away, and ocean beaches are within eight miles.

Fort Williams Park, 7.5 miles away, offers a beach, walking and biking paths, tennis courts, picnic areas, historic buildings, and most notably, the much-photographed Portland Head Light lighthouse. Higgins Beach and Scarborough Beach are about eight miles from the hotel.
Fishing charters, scenic cruises, and whale-watching excursions depart from Portland Harbor. The hotel can provide recommendations for viewing the area's glorious fall foliage.

“Very Impressed”
The food was not your average hotel food, in fact it was better than most of the food in the area resturaunts. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accomodating. The soap and shampoo were good products so I did not have to bring my own. Usually the soaps are so drying I dread showering with the hotel products. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. We were very pleased

“Great hotel at a reasonable price”
This hotel is conveniently located - close to the highway, close to the mall and lots of shopping. It is only a short drive to the Old Port where there are great restaurants. The hotel has great amenities including a pool and hot tub. The rooms are neat and clean. I found this hotel better priced than some others - so I think it is a great choice for a reasonable price when staying in Portland.

This hotel offers all the amenities needed by the business traveler in a convenient, quiet and attractive setting. Food was great and the staff, from the front desk through all food and beverage personnel were not just professional and efficient but seemed to eagerly go out of their way to be of assistance.

Nice clean room. Firm mattress, down comforter with down pillows. For those who have allergies the hotel would gladly change these out for you. Up to date tv, wifi, you name it was there if you wanted to use it.

I was in Portland for business and my traveling companion's visit was leisure. The hotel location was convenient for my meeting schedule and my companion's shopping,etc. Lovely room. Very nice staff.
“A comfortable place to stay”
We needed a reasonably priced place to stay while we were in Portland and knew that the Marriott would be a good location. The room was clean the staff helpful and the breakfast that was included was very good and sumptuous. We'll be back.
“pleasant business experience”
The hotel was as nice as any 5 star hotel in the US. The decor was up to date,the hotel was clean, friendly and had all services. The bar was particularly nice-I had a nice dinner(lobster) there watching the Olympics. I met a client at the hotel and it was very comfortable.
