“there when i needed them”

Had a problem with a reservation at another hotel and expedia came to the rescue and changed my reservation to another location in a matter of minutes.

“Great Place To Stay”

Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was great for both kids and adults. Hotel VERY close to downtown South Haven shops, harbor, waterfront and lighthouse. Also near gas stations, fast food places, Wal-Mart, Tractor Supply and highway (no noise, though.)

“Pleased”

Nothing but great things to say about our stay here. The room was as I requested. We arrived a bit early and were able to check in right away. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Additionally, its right down the road from Gingerman Raceway.

“Satisfactory for South Haven”

If you're not staying at a bed and breakfast, there aren't many other hotels to choose from. This hotel is located right off of the highway- not great surroundings. But it is very convenient to get to downtown South Haven and the beach, as well as going to other towns along Lake Michigan. Considering the price, our room was not in great condition. Other Hampton Inns that we've stayed at had nicer looking rooms for a lower price. The free breakfast was good.

“Good basic accomodations close to South Haven”

The staff was courteous. The layout of the room was nice - king bed with couch and desk. There was a bit of mildew in the corner of the bathroom, but otherwise the room was clean. The mattress was uncomfortable. The breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. Overall, not the newest or cleanest or fanciest Hampton Inn I've stayed in, but good basic accommodations at a reasonable price (off season).

“Not Impressed”

My family always stayed at Hampton whenever we were out of town. Unfortunately, Hampton at South Haven experienced was a disappointment. First, it was the most expensive Hampton we been to. The cost of stay was higher than the service provided. Less food selection during breakfast compared to other Hampton we stayed at. Then, we waited about 10 minutes for the scrambled eggs with few slices of ham as the chaffing dish was not big enough. Lastly, the dining and buffet areas were too to small to accommodate guests. But we're glad the hotel was not fully booked or it could be worse.

“Unhappy stay!”

The chemicals in the pool were awful you could hardley sit in the pool room without you eyes burning. We dont go and stay at hotel very often so my children were super excited about getting to swim but unfourtuantly could hardley stand to as their eyes burned so bad,it was so bad that it ruined our swim suites(which I no you are not responsible for) but also dried the kids face out so bad that their faces were burning as well as their eyes were extremly red and irritated. I did inform the hotel staff and they kind of grumbled under their breath about their maintience man putting chemicals in the pool during the day instead of at night.
