“Comfortable and reasonable for an ND football weekend”
We chose Suburban Extended Stay because it was by far the most reasonably priced hotel for a football weekend. The rooms are well-appointed, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchenette was a real plus. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Only glitch was a bit of a water pressure issue in the shower, but that would not deter us from staying there again.
“Notre dame experience”
When my son and I stayed at the hotel in Oct. 2010 it had only been open for a short time. It was very clean and comfortable. It had a good work out room.
“South Bend”
The hotel was clean. The staff was very accomodating. They had an abundance of information about Notre Dame which was our target area. They even let us park our car there after checking out while we were at the game no charge.

Stayed for long weekend to visit family nearby. Convenient location, many nearby restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet for 2 of the 3 nights I stayed on a non-game weekend. My room was on first floor and not far from reception desk, so heard some loud chatter one night from non-courteous guests returning. But this is not hotel's fault. Staff was courteous and helpful. No iron or hair dryer in my room, but picked up at front desk immediately, upon my request, no charge of course. I used the small, but well-equipped fitness room which I had to myself. Pool looked nice, but did not use. Room was clean and well maintained,. Bed was very firm while pillows were flat. Otherwise, great stay!
“Nice and functional inexpensive place”
This is an extended stay hotel, meaning that the rooms are small apartments, with functional kitchens, including refrigerator and stove. I only stayed one night, so did not take advantage of that. I picked this place because of its location (it is right off the toll road), which was my primary concern. For my short stay, it was fine. I dropped the score on cleanliness, not because it was dirty but because there was a distinct cleaner / disinfectant smell when I walked into the room.
