The staff was very accommodating, the all you can eat complimentary breakfasts with all the options to choose from, the cleanliness, and easy access to shopping centers.

Good but not a perfect fit.
Excellent location, very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Our room's only window opened on the atrium, so no fresh air, and we heard breakfast sounds very early. The room was hot. The bathroom was designed for tall people/men - the main mirror set very far back from the edge of the sink and the little close-up mirror mounted on the wall at a height above my head.

Veldig bra hotell, god frokost, gode senger og fint rom og bad. Hørte en lyd sol minte om en støvsuger som startet, ca. Hvert 5-10 minutt, til og med på natta. Mistenker not ventilasjon relatert. Utenom dette veldig fornøyd.

Another ok stay at Scandic Solsiden
We've stayed at Solsiden before and it an ok hotel for this price level. Clean, good elevator capacity and indoorparking, though you need to pay for the parking. Breakfast is also ok, the covid situation considered. The location is convenient with access to restaurants and shopping. A short walk to the city square and Nidelven.

A great place to stay with it's location and comfortable rooms. There were some disappointments with breakfasts, their vegan choice was not so great, but it might just be because of the Corona rules and the way they have to serve things now. Otherwise a very good few nights!

Really nice stay. Amazing breakfast buffet. The wifi connection required several logins after just 2-3 hours which was a little annoying. But the signal was strong once connected. Also, the hotel states it has loan bikes available on both the website and in brochures in the room. This is not the case, and the receptionists referred me to the city bikes (not free and with a time restriction so not the same thing).

I'll be back.
Hotel staff are wonderful, super kind and helpful. Breakfast in the atrium is great. Check in was ok, we were given a room that wasn't ready but we were quickly re-issued another room.

The hotel is located close to decent bars and restaurants. Rooms are bijou but clean and modern. Breakfasts are excellent with a wide variety of choices. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Vi ble tatt i mot med en utrolig god service helt fra start. Hadde et helt bekymringsfritt opphold, fikk god informasjon om alt vi trengte. Ringte ned til resepsjonen dagen for utsjekk og spurte om en sen utsjekk. Fikk da invilger dette og sjekket ut kl. 14 isteden for 12. forventet å måtte betale for dette ved utsjekk, men betalte ingenting.

Hadde en overnatting. Rommet var grei størrelse. Nytt fint oppusset bad. Når vi skulle legge oss oppdaget vi at sengen var ødelagt. Rammen under var knekt og sengen knirket veldig samtidig som den var vind og ligge i. Klagde til resepsjonen og fikk nytt rom. Her var sengen i orden, men det var kaldt på badet. Klarte ikke å få opp varmen til neste dag. Frokosten på dette hotellet er meget bra!
