“Loved the in-room fireplace”
I booked this spot for a romantic birthday weekend and the in-room fireplace made for perfect ambiance... except that the fireplace worked a little too well and the room got very hot and stayed that way. Besides the fireplace the room was definitely above average, attractively decorated in a traditional style but wasn't too upscale. The fireplace and fantastic location walking distance from the Sonoma Square made the place. The front desk staff were very friendly and gave us coupons for free wine tastings at several local wineries, which was a nice free bonus. We ate at the Girl and the Fig. After seeing all the great reviews for it I thought it can't possibly be that great but it was.
“So Many Perks”
This inn is just a short walking distance to all the great Sonoma cafes such as The Girl and the Fig, Cafe La Haye, and Della Santina's. They had fresh baked cookies in the lobby for a mid morning or afternoon snack, plus they offer free soft drinks to take to your room or out on the road. The breakfasts were the biggest surprise. Excellent quiches and flavorful frittatas are served each morning with muffins and scones that were home made. Our room was the perfect size and even had a fireplace, even though we didn't have need of it on this trip. The front desk staff had valuable suggestions about winery tours and many coupon to give us that allowed us free or half off winetasting. This inn is a treasure, and we will be returning here in the future.
“excellent”
comfortable, good complimentary wine with afternoon tea and best breakfast of the trip. free bikes for tour of wineries. if in sonoma stay here
“Ideal Hotel and Location”
Perfectly located (easy walk to city square and plenty of dining options), very clean and organized, and great breakfast. Hotel also has bikes to rent which make for a great way to tour the town and local wineries/vineyards.
“The extras that make a difference”
You have to stay at the Inn at Sonoma to experience the little extras that make this a great place to stay. It is every bit as nice as the larger, more expensive hotels, but with so many added touches that make it stand out: a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning, wine/cheese in the afternoon, turn-down service complete with chocolates, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing many recommendations for area wineries along with 2-for-1 tasting passes. Parking and proximity to the square (shopping!) are also nice bonuses.
“Nice surprise!”
Great location. Very welcoming. Food was delicious and much more than expected. Very comfortable, felt like home. Staff knew the area and had great suggestions. Definitely would stay again and plan to try more of their properties.
“Great Place to Stay in Sonoma”
We enjoyed a lovely two-day stay at the Inn at Sonoma. Our room was very comfortable, well-furnished and quiet. We really appreciated morning breakfast service and evening wine reception. We would definitely stay at the Inn again. The location -- just a couple of blocks from Sonoma's central square -- can't be beat and the price makes this hotel a very good deal.
“Center of town, kitchy and comfy!”
The inn had a good hot and cold breakfast and plenty of parking. Our room was kitchy and cute, and the hot/cold breakfast was totally satisfactory. We had to pay a nominal fee to upgrade our queen room on the ground floor to a king room on the upper floor. The fee was totally worth it, though. Our upstairs room had great light and was right near the hot tub! We loved the hot cookies and afternoon wine, as well as the fact that the hotel was environmentally friendly. As an added bonus, there are two bike shops in close walking distance to the hotel, so you can rent bikes and get bike maps to ride to all the wineries.
“Inn at Sonoma”
Very good hotel and central location. Sadly the hot tub was out of order. Otherwise everything perfect here!
“February 10, 2011”
The service was very goos and the room was clean and neat. The fireplace was a plus, but made the room really warm when on. The only complaint I have was in the morning we could hear all the people getting breakfast and the front deck. We had room #3 down stairs. Also the in room hair dryer sucked up some of my hair then cought fire.
