Good stop over on way to St Ives from Midlands

Posted 23-Jul-2014
Pros: Where it was situated and the price was good
Cons: The state of the receptionists chair gave a very bad first impression when we arrived. It was all torn and worn.
Location: On the A30 service area. Went to a great pub called Worlds End about a mile away to sit outside for a drink and food
Very pleasant and helpful receptionist. Everything g we needed for a stop over and in a good service area for various food

near to motorway / good for breaking a journrey

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: near motorway, friendly receptionist and value for money
Cons: bit of a spruce up - decoration
Location: near to Taunton and Bridgewater
We arrived via sat nav for the postcode and arrived at a barrier through lanes. Just pressed the buzzer and were answered straight away and given access. Not a problem. The young man on reception was very helpful and happily answered our queries regarding local restaurants and pubs.We would definitely use this Days Inn again, very comfortable and clean room although rather tired décor. Quiet at night and overall good value for money

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Very clean and up to date.
Cons: Let people know the hotel is on the west side and what to do about it.
Location: Only stayed one night went to bed.

HELP at last car park Ast ask if he could help us, he did, this happens all the time very,. tired by now. Room at last. never again.

hideous

Find somewhere else, this place is beyond help. You can't expect much from a motorway hotel, but this doesn't even deliver that.

Convenient as it takes dogs

Posted 4-May-2014
Pros: Clean, nice service area, convenient for exercising dog in adjoining fields.
I was in a family room which contained a sofa bed - made up and a cot - and I was on my own with a dog - so a little crowded!

Taunton Dean

Posted 13-Mar-2014
Pros: Receptionist
Cons: Move smoking area SO OTHER GUESTS ARE CONSIDERED. Redecorate all bed and bathrooms and some kind of sound proofing.
Location: only meal option was a mcdonalds or costa. not really ideal for an evening meal at 10pm.
We arrived late and the receptionist couldn't have been nicer. Would return based on her services alone. Really friendly and welcoming after a 4 hour drive. hotel room however was tired, bathroom was grubby and tiling coming of walls in places. walls are so thin you can hear every time someone else urinates either side or above you. Very unpleasant. Smokers encourages to stand outside main entrance which was a few meters from our window on ground floor so we were disturbed till ate.

Difficult to get to

Posted 25-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
When you approach from the south you have to drive miles out your way to turn around and drive back. This area needs a fly over if you have accommodation there.
