Great place to stayPosted 4-Dec-2013 on Hotels.com
Great place to stay if you just need bed (and breakfast from the M5 services which is literally next door to this hotel). Difficult to find if traveling North on the motorway. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful - especially Rebecca. I would definitely stay here again. The room was comfortable, warm and clean with a powerful shower.

NOT GREATPosted 5-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
First off all we were given room 9, but the heating wasn't working, we were then moved to room 32 only to find the cold water tap in the sink wasn't working, so to fill the kettle I had to use bath water. For a little more we could have had a much more comfortable night at a premier inn.

Value for MoneyPosted 3-Nov-2013
Pros: Even though situated close to the M5 Southbound and my room facing the motorway, I had no problem with any traffic noise and was convenient for me.
Cons: Replacement of Bath and grouting on tiles around bath to be steam cleaned.
Location: I was only here for training, so had no reason to investigate the local area.
I was attending a 3 day course in the west of Taunton and rather than drive a 160 miles round trip each day, I decided to book a room at Days Inn, Taunton Deane Services for 2 nights. Bearing in mind I had booked-up in advance, I was able to enjoy a £30 per night rate and on arrival was greeted at the Reception and given the keys to my room, which turned out to be a family room on the ground floor. The room was clean, as were the bed clothes. The bath looked like it was rusting where the taps were fitted. However as I didn't have reason to use the bath or shower this didn't affect me, nor did what looked like staining on the bottom of the bath, which I would put down to wear and tear. On the first of the two evenings the picture on the Freeview TV seemed on occasions to have a problem with the signal from the aeriel, so I just watched TV via the free Wi-Fi on my laptop. There were ample supplies of Tea/Coffee/Sugar/Sweetener available on the tray beside the electric kettle and also a good supply of towels. I travelled into Taunton to eat on the Thursday night and settled for a "McDonalds" from the Service Area on the second, which was a bit of a novelty for me, as I don't normally visit "Ronald McDonald's". It was a 7 mile drive into Taunton via the M5 and a 4 mile drive back as I was able to travel back through the side lanes and access the Service Area via the Service Barrier. All in all, I was more than happy with the stay and would happily stay there again!!

OUR STAYPosted 31-Oct-2013
Pros: Very good for the price
Cons: Bathroom smelt a little sour so needs sorting.
Easy to locate. Room good, staff nice. Services were a bit limited for choice (compared to others)
by David from East Sussex
Pros: The staff were Ok but didn't seem that interested as to why we were leaving at 2 am.
Cons: The bed, the decor, the noise levels the cleanliness, the size of the tv, some of the doors in the corridor had soft closers WHY NOT ALL OF THEM!!!
Location: Go down the road to the premier inn
When we got into our room on the first night and the heater was running, it was too warm so had to turn that off and open the window, which meant we had an aircon unit rumbling away all night instead, also there was a beep that went off every 2 minutes for the whole night, the bed was so old and bouncy anytime one of us moved the other would be bounced out of bed. The second night the beep had gone, but the bed was so uncomfortable we left the hotel at 2 am as I would rather drive for 3 hours to a comfortable bed and quiet room than stay there. DO NOT STAY HERE AT ANY COST!!! There was a premier inn down the road that was only £8 more for the 2 night, I will never skimp again!

The facilities were what we expect of days inn.Posted 8-Oct-2013
Could not complain about anything. Stayed at other days inn before. They seem consistent with their standards.

tiredPosted 5-Oct-2013 on Hotels.com
Use DaysInn a lot, some are better than others, unfortunately the old Premier Inns which Days took over (and this is one) are looking very tired and time to update
