"The staff were lovely, the hotel has beautiful views, it is peaceful and breakfast is lovely. You need a car unless you plan to relax on resort. There is a Lidl nearby for necessities and it is a 15 minute drive to the beautiful beaches at Guincho and Cascais."

"Quinta das Murtas is a beautiful property in a perfect location, an easy walk to the historic center of Sintra. The staff were abundantly friendly and helpful. I stayed in a kitchenette suite with my husband and 8 year old twins. We had plenty of space, very comfortable beds, and an adorable outdoor patio. The grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was lovely (though service started fairly late—early risers keep that in mind!). Without a doubt I would stay here again! "

"Our stay at the Penha Longa exceeded all expectations. From the beginning to the end. On arrival we were met with some of the most friendly and helpful staff. Everyone went above and beyond to please and to make the stay great. The hotel is nestled on a beautiful golf course. Lots of great restaurants and a superb free breakfast every morning. Star in every department was great. There was no language barrier. I would certainly return to this property. We had a wonderful vacation. "
