“What a Gem!”
Our stay at the Best Western in Thousand Oaks could not have been more pleasant! The front desk staff went above and beyond the call of duty to be helpful giving directions and suggesting places to shop and even find ice cream! We spent the weekend with grandson's who live only a few blocks away and had an absolute blast! Thank-you so much for making our stay so comfortable and wonderful! Sincerely, two VERY satisfied guests!
“Best Best Western Ever”
Of all the moderately-priced hotel chains, we usually prefer Best Western & the one in Thousand Oaks was especially nice. The rooms surround a quiet open-air courtyard which has patio sets, benches, and a gazebo--a perfect place to enjoy the complimentary paper & buffet breakfast (which was typically mediocre, at best). The room had several nice touches--table lamps w/ imitation mica shades provided a soft, soothing light; a sliding door opened to a small patio so you could have fresh air in the room (a small table & chair would have been nice); a modern shower head (wish it had been the removable kind); and THE most comfortable mattress with a down comforter (what a great sleep!). We had the same sleep experience last year at a Best Western in D.C.--I'd love to know who makes their mattresses! The hotel has a small, inviting bar and a cozy parlor w/ a large flat-screen TV. In the lobby, there's an urn with cool, flavored water on hand, as well as a free internet station and a varied selection of DVDs to check out & watch in your room. There's a restaurant attached, but it was closed for remodeling. Several other eateries are within walking distance & there's a big mall next door--a great location to everything. Parking is free & your room key is required to enter the building, so it's very secure. Very friendly service, a very nice stay. (Note: it's set a bit back from the road, so it's easy to miss. And if the whirring sound of the 101 bothers you, ask for a room in back.)
“Will use it again.”
This hotel was just what we were looking for. VERY clean, conveniently located, a little noisy from the freeway but not a problem, excellent service. Will recommend it and will use it again.
“Good value, great location!”
Hotel was recommended by parent of former student. Hotel is right off the freeway and easy access to the University, close to shopping, dinner etc.
“Pleasant Stay”
It is near the road way so you will hear the sound of the highway muffled through the windows and the curtains. That aside the staff and the Tapas Restaurant were superb. We felt very welcome at both the hotel and the restaurant. Take advantage of the hot breakfast, great eggs, potatoes, and pancakes. I would go back in an instant.
“Great place to stay!”
We really enjoyed this hotel. The check-in clerk was very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast selection included your choice of three cooked to order options (french toast & bacon, french toast & eggs, or eggs & bacon). The room was very spacious with 2 queens and enough room on the floor for my air mattress (I have a bad back). There was security entrances to get into the buildings, free DVDs to borrow, the sink was outside the bathroom, and it had a ton of plugs for charging everyone's electronics. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area.
“Great experience”
Clean and comfortable. Helpful staff. Loved the free DVD's.
“Great Tapas restaurant, too”
The hotel was a good reliable Best Western. Service staff were great. The best part about it: the terrific Tapas restaurant located in the lobby. Wow! I'd go back just for that food! I was peased to hear that a fellow Rotarian is the proprietor, another reason to go back.
“My Weekend in Thousand Oaks”
When my husband said we were going to stay at the "Best Western", I was somewhat skeptical about how nice it would be. As soon as I walked into the lobby, my apprehension was put at ease. It was very clean, bright and welcoming. So, I figured, if the lobby looked this good, the rooms couldn't be that bad. I was pleased. Our room was just right for the two of us during our weekend stary. We have already talked about another trip and staying at the same place.
“.good location”
Staff at hotel was courteous, they offered freshed baked peanut butter cookies. The restaurant staff was gumpy and not very attentative to our order. location was easy to find. We had a courtyard outside our room which was nice.
