“Nous y reviendrons pour un long week-end”

“nice secluded place”
not close to anything... but it is in the heart of wine country in tuscany and a 30 minute and very scenic drive from most other towns in the Chianti Classico region. plan to rent a car, you will need it to get there and around tuscany because there are no buses or taxis. It is in the outskirts of Monteriggioni, a cute but tiny farming town. The hotel itself is more like a self contained resort than a hotel per se. You get a nice private bungalow to yourself. The staff is nice and were very helpfull. They helped us plan a great day of wine tasting and castle visiting and even made reservations for us. We were on our honeymoon but there were also a lot of families there but they didn't bother us. The grounds are big enough and there are lot's of activities to keep the kids busy.

We were extremely happy with the San Luigi Resort. The grounds are beautiful and the room was comfortable. It was very convenient for touring the countryside.

If u want to be able to walk everywhere and stay in a great hotel with spacious rooms and terrific views, this is the hotel for u! Ask for room 36 for the best economy room without a balcony as it had 2 windows- 1 overlooking the famous square and 1 overlooking the valley n countryside. Wifi is free for the 1st hr and u can use it anywhere in the hotel. There is a rooftop jacuzzi and small basic fitbessroom too which is a bonus! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Best hotel in the best town in Tuscany San Gimignano.
“Totally exceeded my expecations!”
Since this was my first reservation using Expedia, and it being an international booking, I was a bit nervous. The minute I turned down the lane and saw the awesome setting of San Luigi, I knew I had made a good choice. The grounds of the resort are impeccably maintained. Everything one would expect from a resort in Tuscany. Quaint, tile roofs, cobblestone paths, very romantic! The rooms were very quiet, comfortable and very well maintained. Service was outstanding and I am still missing my daily, morning cappucino by the pool. Resort resturaunt was very good and the room rate includes a very nice breakfast buffet. If you are into wine, which is the main reason we visited the area, they have a great wine list including some of the top local Tuscan labels. Front desk was also very helpful directing us to local wineries, resturaunts, etc. I have already recommended San Luigi to several friends.
“Presque parfait”
Hôtel très agréable pour se reposer et bien situé pour visiter la toscane.... Le personnel est serviable et parle pour la plupart plusieurs langues ( français anglais allemand) Le petit déjeuner est tout simplement fabuleux en revanche le dîner est a mon avis le seul point négatif de l'hôtel( très cher et de qualité moyenne) mieux vaut aller manger ailleurs le soir .......
“Uexpected Surprise”
Off the beaten track on a dirt road this resort offers tranquility and luxury. Manicured lawns in a park like setting, huge pool and cabana area, excellent service, large accomodations and close to all of the sites in Tuscany, we hope to return again and again.

L'hotel a une situation exceptionnelle, en toscane. Nombreuses visites possibles aux alentours. Egalement, parc très appréciable, coin piscine étonnant, restaurant excellent. Peut être un peu de monde (enfants) en août. Bon acceuil. Nous y retournerons!!!
