“Wonderful Hotel - would definately recommend”

Perfect location right next to downtown Radda. Walk into town, with free parking and great breakfast. Max was a super Host and provided useful information on dining and local wineries.

“Trip of a lifetime!”

We spent the first four nights of October at this lovely hotel and used Radda as our base to explote Tuscany. The hotel is quaint but gracious. The staff bent over backwards for the hotel guests as I needed to call Rome several times looking for a bag. The garden was beautiful and the perfect spot for an afternoon bottle of local wine. We used the pool twice while there. Breakfast was great but we choose dinner elsewhere with outside seating. The Gaiole Vintage bike race came through Radda our first morning there. It set the tone for a great week. Sienna and Florence are a short drive away with many interesting stops in between. Next time we return we may rent for a month in retirement in this lovely area of Italy and Tuscany.

“Picture perfect”

We stayed here on a recommendation of a friend who had stayed here several years before. We found it idyllic even in the rain. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. We had Rm # 35 with a garden view and away from the street.

“Bel hotel à Radda in Chianti”

“Perfect place to visit the Chianti region - a Classico”

Could not fault the Hotel, service or location. Ideal place to visit Siena and Florence but Pisa a bit of a trek. Flying to Florence made access easy just an easy hours drive - read instructions to hotel and do not stay on A1. Radda was a perfect location with a good mix of restaurants from a simple pizza or pasta dish to the exotic. The hotel restaurant food quality was excellent and the continental breakfast was well presented and filling, the perfect start to the day. Plenty of vineyards to visit and sample - make sure you have a couple of drivers to allow everybody to taste the wines. No need for a big car as the bendy roads dictate the pace - slow which allows the passengers to see the views again sharing the driving allows the driver who has to concentrate to share the fantastic countryside. The highlight was the cooking course although we did not do much more like a masterclass the menu, wines and instruction was excellent. The restaurant was beautiful at San Donato in Perano and seeing the sunset fabulous - even romantic! A great relaxing holiday a week long enough or if you travel around you need at least 4 days to sample the hotel and Radda.

“Overall, the hotel was very good but was let down by the room.”

The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful and the standard of the grounds and public rooms was very high. The restaurant was of a high standard and good value for money. Our room was rather disappointing, and whilst this may not put me off recommending this hotel, I would try and find out exactly what room I was getting. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the hotel or the description of the standard of the room on this site.
