“Perfect Place in which to explore Tuscany”
This hotel was in every way Tuscany. Not ony was the view from our window wonderful but the staff was in every way accommodating. Everything one expects of a Tuscan Villa is here. Location to the Bus and Train station was not far. A wonderful relaxing place to stay to enjoy the real Tuscany "The people".
“Fabulous Place”
This was a family operated hotel. Amazing people. Always available to help out with anything we needed. Great location with a beautiful view of the vineyards. Food was fabulous! Highly recommended!!
“A Hidden Gem”
The Villa San Luchesse was absolutely wonderful. The owners and staff were very helpful and courteous. In fact, the owner drove me to the chemist one evening to get some medicine for my wife, who had been ill all day with a stomach upset. The deluxe room was lovely - spacious, quiet and a view over the front garden and church - get ready for the wake up call every morning ! The views from the rear were stunning, particularly in the autumn with the vibrant colours of the trees and vines. Breakfast was very good with a large choice. The restaurant was also very good - we had a couple of evening meals. You need a car, as the location is a little remote, but what a spot to get away from all the hussle and bussle. A great place to visit Tuscany - Florence, Siena, Pisa - all in easy reach. This is highly recommended.
“Beautiful Views”
The restaurant had beautiful views. The location was great for the couple of days we were there. Close to Siena, San Gimignano, and not far from winery we visited. Enjoyed the pool and the food was very good, though small portions. The staff was very nice and accomodating.
“Wonderful experience”
Having spent a couple of nights in Pisa it was a relief to travel down to the Tuscany that we anticipated. The Hotel with its family atmosphere, wonderful location and friendly reception was all that we required. The general location enabled us to visit all of the places that most tourists would require, whilst the particular location in San Lucchese was wonderful with its views, tranquility and yet accessability. We stayed just over a week at the hotel and found everyone so friendly, helpful and informative. Would love the opportunity to return.
“Hard to Find but Just as Freindly”
We stayed at this very friendly villa for two days and found it an ideal ideal gateway to Siena, San Gimgnano and Pisa. Poggibonsi is ordinary at best and only a hindrance in getting on and off the highway. The hotel is tucked away just out of town with a great view of the Tuscan countryside which you can experience from the dinning terrace at dinner and your room. Unfortunately, a tour bus had pulled in for one day and swamped the restaurant, but the menu and food were eventually very pleasant. The nicely sized swimming pool was also a refreshing diversion after a day of touring in the July sun. The owners and staff were very friendly and we had a great stay and truly wished it could have been longer.
“Beautiful pool”
Excellent spot for touring, San Gimingnano, Volterra, Florence etc. Sadly no lunch or dinner available over our weekend, I think because there were few guests. However, this did mean that we had the lovely, perfect, huge pool all to ourselves - fantastic. Breakfast was good and service excellent.
“Country getaway with outstanding restaurant and views”
Lovely pool, great surroundings, gorgeous views from the top of the hill, and wonderful food. This hotel is extremely highly recommended for families - our kids, 7 and 10, loved the pool in particular.
“Great Family Run Hotel”
Used Villa San Lucchese for a family break in October with our two daughters aged 8 and 7. The setting is idyllic with a great view of the Tuscan countryside. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and the swimming pool is excellent - if a little cold in October! The hotel is family run and the staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was excellent and dinner at the hotel was very good although the choice was a little restricted. Only slight complaint would be that the rooms are not air conditioned, but we had a great break and will return here again.
“Nous y retournerons dès que possible”
un havre de paix, de verdure et de repos entre deux visite. Trés bien situé entre Sienne et Florence, donnant sur les vignes du Chianti, cet hotel est très bien tenu et le personnel efficace et sympathique
