“Best Location in Siena”

Beautiful, small hotel in the heart of Siena, a short walk from everything you would like to see. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent, but there are so many fine, interesting restaurants nearby, that you may never dine in the hotel. If you love to shop for fashion, this is the place!

“Charming Hotel”

The hotel was located in a perfect spot and within walking distance of all of Siena's beautiful sights. The room was good, but make sure you state that you want a view or you will not get one. Also, the breakfast was very expensive for what you get, 26 euros for cereals and fruit and scambled eggs, so you may want to eat out for breakfast. I would go back for sure.

“Excellent Choice”

I have stayed in a few hotels in Siena and this one is by far the best. The room had a pretty view of the tile rooftops and was large by Italian standards. It is centrally located and the staff was great.

“The best in Siena”

The hotel is gorgeous and is located right in the heart of Sienese historical center. (Il Campo is right around the corner) Despite the noise, I wouldn't have wished for a better place to stay. The concierge people were friendly and always extremely helpful and spoke perfect english. The details in the room were commendable, always freshly pressed crisp linen sheets, perfumed toiletries, and a complimentary bottle of prosecco with strawberries upon arrival. The only disappointment is the plainly decorated room on our top floor. After seeing many photos of frescoes and the highly embellished beds, we expected our room to have much more aesthetic appeal.

Lovely hotel in the middle of Siena. Extremely helpful concierge---but make sure you know how to get to the hotel first. "Streets" are thousands of years old and were designed for pedestrians.

“I can't imagine a better location!”

If you goal is to visit Siena proper and you're not worried about parking a car, this hotel is positioned literally at the heart of lovely Siena. Just a block from one of the best cafes, just around the corner from a nice bar, and well lit with active pedestrian activity into the wee hours. The large windows open onto the busy street and you really feel like a temporary resident. The windows are nicely shuttered and sound-proofed so despite the central location, its not too loud. Our room's AC did not appear to be working, but it was not really needed in November so we didn't press the issue. Great lobby, high-ceilinged room, very nice all around.

“Fantastic Hotel”

My wife and I loved everything about this hotel. Amazing room and bathroom, pay per view movies and internet in the room, and the best breakfast we had while in Italy. Yes, this place was twice as much as anywhere else we stayed, but it was well worth it. I wish we would have stayed longer in Siena.

Yes, everything from food to parking is expensive. But if you're even considering the GHC, then I'm sure you're aware of the costs that are associated with staying in a 5 star hotel. Luckily the location, ammenities, and service are worth the price. Just a few minutes from Il Campo, the Duomo, and the Baptistry, the GHC is in one of the best locations in Siena. My wife and I never had to drive anywhere in Siena because the GHC is in a perfect location relative to all the places we wanted to go, ie. sites and restaurants. Also, my wife and I rented a car so when we found out that parking via the hotel was 45 euro, the concierge showed us on a map where to park for free, all day and night. So we had free parking for our entire stay! The rooms are pretty and they have all the ammenities needed for vacationers, basically, they were great to return to after a long day of checking out Italy. We never ate in the GHC restaurant because of all the other great places to go nearby so I can't speak to that. But the room service food we got several times was good, but overpriced. My wife and I plan on staying at the GHC again when we return to Siena.
