I was so excited about this hotel, first of all for the pictures, and second of all because Montalcino was one of the highlights of our anniversary trip.
This hotel is pretty from the outside, and the pool and common areas are really nice... but the service and attention are the WORST, and the room is the worst I've ever been to.
First of all, when you arrive there's no one to help you with your luggage, you have to find the reception yourself because is kind of a maze.
Then the "king bed" are two hard as rock individual beds put together as one... what is this a joke?
Then the sheets burnt our skin, literally, the material was so cheap and they were so rough that literally we got our skin burned.
The breakfast is included, and when I asked the guy for some sunny side up eggs, he told me that that will cost me extra, even they charged us a bottle of water of 12 euros! I mean I live in NYC and I've never had a 12 euros bottle of water. The staff from the restaurant was super rude, and they took forever.
At the checkout, I told the receptionist about the sheet incident, and she told me: "Ah ok" not even I'm sorry or something, and the language was not a barrier because I speak perfect italian.
So bottom line I DON'T RECOMMEND this hotel at all, there are a lot of options in Montalcino to stay.
