“AWESOME PLACE”
This hotel is great! I stayed here with my family (5 adults, 1 senior citizen, 1 child) from Dec. 25-27, 2008. Our rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The size of the rooms is perfect. The showers are great after a long day of touring the ruins. The pool is nice and big and has a pool side bar. We even had a bite to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner one night and the staff was very accommodating with our requests. The breakfast buffet is plentiful in both choice and quality. You can get made to order omelets that are delicious! The reception booked us a guide that we requested once we arrived and had check in. It was really easy and inexpensive. I would highly recommend a guide for the temples. The hotel also picked did our airport transfers flawlessly!
“Good 4 star hotel”
Overall we were very happy with Somadevi. The only small negative was that this was the only hotel on our trip where we had to pay for wi-fi access. All others were free.
“Superb Hotel”
The hotel was centrally located so easy for night market, beer street etc. Fantastic pool and excellent restaurant. Would definately go back.
“Dont hesitate! The best budget hotel you can get .”
Very nice hotel. Exactly what you need in a city like Siem Reap if you are expecting to spend your time at Angkor and all the temples around and not in a hotel. The location is superb and walking distance from the pub street where you can find the local bars and night markets. Dont expect a fancy room but a good one where you can have a good and decent (meaning very clean) rest after a mangnificent day at the temples.
“A Beautiful New Luxury Hotel at Bargain Rates”
We arrived by Tuk Tuk from the airport and noticed many of the other hotels were further from the center. The Somadevi is just a few hundred yards up the main street from the Hotel de Paix. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive to our needs. We loved the ambience, the luxury, the location and most of all the sumptuous breakfast each morning. This was by far our favourite hotel on our 23 day tour of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
“tres bon raopport qulite /prix”
nous avons sejourne 3 jours dans cet hotel, le personnel est tres serviable et aimable, le petit dej est bien, la piscine grande et agreable, les chambres sont calmes, spacieuses et joliment decore.
“very good for the price”
We were very satisfied. The staff was polite, spoke some English, arranged the tours for us.
“The best hotel we've stayed at in years”
We couldn't have been happier with the Somadevi. Highlights included: -An excellent in-town location (many of the newer hotels are out on the airport road). You can easily walk or take a tuk-tuk to all markets, food stalls, Pub St, etc. -A HUGE buffet breakfast with local and Western food that's included with your room -A wonderful staff -A beautiful pool area with lounge chairs and swim-up bar -A spacious room and comfortable bed (at least by Asian standards) -A clean and modern bathroom with separate tub and shower If we ever make it back to Cambodia, we'd definitely stay there again.
“Good Hotel”
Nice room and bathroom in a good location for the town centre and Angkor is only 15 minutes away in a tuk tuk. The evening buffet was very good and they have a traditional dance show which was also great.
“It's worth the money”
It appeared to be a fairly new hotel, food was good, employees very helpful, a short walk to the center of town and the markets and about a 20 minute ride to Angkor Wat.
