Karavansara Retreat & Residences offers 24 guestrooms. Rooms are furnished with sofa beds and desks. 32-inch LCD televisions come with satellite channels and DVD players. Complimentary wireless Internet access is provided along with direct-dial phones, CD players, and complimentary newspapers. Microwaves and blenders are available in kitchens. Bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers, bathrobes, slippers, and complimentary toiletries. Rooms feature balconies with river or courtyard views. Washers/dryers, in-room safes (accommodate laptops), and air conditioning are also included. Irons/ironing boards and hair dryers can be requested. A nightly turn-down service and housekeeping are provided. All guestrooms are non-smoking.

“Look no further”
This is where you want to stay in Siem Reap. Just finished five nights here, and it was a perfect stay. Perfect location, salt water pools, a great complimentary breakfast in the morning, and a staff that truly captures the Cambodian spirit. As beautiful as the wats are in this region, it is the Cambodian people you will remember most, and that holds true for the staff at the Karavansara. If you are coming from a big city here in America, they will help restore your faith in humanity. No hyperbole. If I can offer one tip, treat yourself to a bigger room, or even one of the suites. It's well worth it. Those in my group who went with the economy rate regretted not going with an upgrade.
“a nice hotel”
The hotel is conveniently located in the east side of Siem Reap River. It's within 5 to 10 minutes walk to the pub street. It's relatively quiet. The restaurant serves nice food. The boss of the hotel is also very nice. Since we booked a night bus to Sihanoukville, we asked whether we can stay till 7 pm, he agreed. So we spent a leisured afternoon and can take the night bus after taking baths. The hotel provide us take-away breakfast at 6 am so that we can eat on our way to see the Angkor Wat sunrise. There is a roof-top swimming pool looks very comfortable but we didn't try it. The only thing we don't like is the place of the air-conditioner which is too close to the bed.
“The perfect location in Siem Reap”
This is a charming boutique hotel within a very short walk to the old market, Pub Street and the night market. The rooms in the colonial section are huge, and well appointed. the decor is modern and very well done. The salt water pool on the second floor roof is lovely and very well maintained. The hotel has a restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast consists of different menus, all delicious. I recommend the Khmer soup, a delicious noodle soup which you can have with different meats. their croissants are also worth the calories. The lunch menu is varied (Eastern and Western food) and a lovely break when you are "templed" out and just want to spend a portion of your afternoon by the pool. The staff is charming and helpful. They cannot do enough for you and all with a smile. I am a frequent traveler to Siem Reap and have stayed in many places. I love the location, the hotel itself and the staff. Overall, this is a place I will return to with great pleasure.
