Loved it so much didn’t want to leave
From the moment we arrived we were so happy to be staying at this hotel. First of all, the staff go above and beyond in their friendliness and service. Staff are always smiling and provide quick answers. The hotel also offers a free return tuktuk service once a day which we found very useful. Walking through the lobby to the room area you feel like walking into your own lush tropical garden with a pool in the center. Very private, serene, and a perfect place to relax. Rooms were spacious, modern, and clean, however one issue is that the lights are quite dim. Not a problem during the day with the windows open but at night it’s a bit hard to see. Breakfast was filling with a various selection of Western or Asian. Overall, cannot recommend this hotel enough, especially for what you get for the value.

Amazing service
This hotel is a little out of the way bit so worth staying at. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and clean and the free tuktuk service handles the problem of getting to and from the hotel nicely. It was great having the little cellphone to call reception to pick you up as you didnt have to find a tuktuk and haggle the price etc. I can't wait to stay there again.

Quiet boutique hotel with a modern edge
Tucked away down a dusty lane off the main street in Siem Reap, The Bunwin is a gem. Enormous rooms open off a swimming pool set in a delightfully designed tropical garden. The main building has the lobby and bar at ground level and restaurant above overlooking the pool. The individual rooms have spartan concrete walls and floor, with a spa bath in the room (sounds odd but it works). Each with separate bathroom with shower and toilet. While it is located away from the central tourist area, the Bunwin gives their guests a mobile phone which you can use to call their tuk-tuk driver to come and collect you from wherever you are, or arrange a collection time. So you have the advantage of accessibility and quietness

Wonderful boutique hotel
We spent 5 days at the Bunwin boutique hotel. It was a wonderful experience. The young staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The pool and garden were quiet and we looked forward to returning for a swim in the pool after a hot day touring the ruins. Our room was palatial, clean and with a comfortable king size bed. The breakfasts were great as was the one dinner we ate there. It is a little out of town, which we liked. And we did not ever feel inconvenienced as the free tuk tuk rides to and from our destinations were always available in a timely fashion.

Nice hotel in the wrong location
We felt that the hotel itself was very nice but far from town in undeveloped area, dirt road and nothing around. There is a free Tuktuk ride to town but only till 10:30PM, so if you decide to stay in town longer you'll have to get your own ride but the drivers don't know where the hotel is and you will need to show them the way

Perfect little hideaway
I really enjoyed my stay at the Bunwin. The rooms are really nice. I loved the layout, they were kind of set up in a very contemporary style. I didn't expect such a beautiful bathroom. Excellent layout, the staff were so kind. The breakfast was only OK.

Hidden Gem
A fab, tiny hotel out of the hustle and bustle of central Siem Reap. Room was huge, pool delightful and free tuk tuk transport was provided to downtown and the airport. Staff were very helpful and arranged day trips to the temples for us.

Good facilities, fantastic staff
This place is tucked out of the way but it is a quiet little oasis away from downtown. Free tuktuk use around town, free Khmer massage with 4 night stay, beautiful room at reasonable price, nice pool etc etc all part of the charm. But the real winner was the staff. Friendliest I've encountered in over 30+ countries visited. They really made the stay a pleasure.

Staff were very kind and helpful, although many struggled with English. Breakfast was very good, rooms big but quite minimalist. Free Tuk tuk into town and back and they give you a cell phone so they can pick you up again - you felt safe and looked after. The hotel is located at the poor side of the city outskirts so don't be alarmed when you first arrive and turn down a dark rubble lane!

First come across such a good services provided by the hotel. ie. Free transfer (Airport and city), Free mobile (once you finished shopping just give them a call and they will come and pick-up within 15 min), variety of breakfast. Staffs can speak good English and will advise where to go and suggest which restaurant to go. Very patient to answer all your questions. Always show smiling face.

BED BUGS
Stayed three nights and found out after the second day that I was eaten alive by bedbugs! Changed rooms 4 times, finally being upgraded to a villa in another building, but unfortunately found bedbugs in every room. The staff were very helpful and washed all my clothes and refunded all three nights but the bites are still bothering me over 1.5 weeks later. The hotel has a serious infestation problem and seems really perplexed as to how to handle it. BEWARE! This will put a serious damper on your vacation.

Discovering Angkor Wat
Brilliant stay! The hotel could not have done more.. Sokoy who was also our main tuk tuk driver was one of the nicest and pleasant hotel staff we've ever encountered. All in all, made our trip to Cambodia one to remember for all the right reasons.

A little gem in Cambodia
I travel extensively and I can say without hesitation that the Bunwin hotel is my favorite worldwide hotel. The kindness and outstanding service received by far exceeded my expectations. The hotel itself is a little haven of peace and lush away from the noise and busy streets. Tucked away in an alley when you first drive there you are a little concerned but then you get off the tuk tuk and the serenity of this place takes over. Tuk tuk rides are free I go into town and free transportation to the airport. Just email the hotel with name and flight number. We were able to hire tuk tuk drivers and guide for our 3 day stay thru the hotel. Ask for guide Sim who has a school and orphanage sponsored by Unicef. His story is tragic but beautiful. Expect Cambodia to melt your heart...

Great staff that made staying at the Bunwin a treat. A little out of town but they had free tuk tuk to take you the 5 minutes into the centre. They can also arrange for tours and tuk tuk around Angkor Wat. Highly recommend!

My husband and I loved our 3 day stay in Siem Reap at Bunwin. The service, staff and level of personal attention are outstanding. The rooms are very nice too. The hotel provides a free tuk tuk for the 5 min ride into town as there is not much in the vicinity of the hotel.

Better than expected
When we were first led here by our tuk tuk, we were apprehensive as the road which led to the hotel appeared to be dark and dingy. However, to overcome this shortcoming, the hotel offered complementary chauffeured tuk tuk services for their guests. Their staff was also very attentive, trustworthy and provided extremely reliable service. In addition, the rooms were comfortable and spacious. We could not have found a better hotel to accommodate us in Siem reap. This accomodation is definitely value for money for me and my family.

The staff here really jump to your every need. This unique hotel is very nice and since it is not in the heart of the action they provide free tuk tuk service for you and give you a cell phone to use to ask them to pick you up. They always come promptly. Great hotel.

had a great 2-night stay at bunwin! it was especially the staff that made it so wonderful. tuk-tuks and cell phone offered at any time, free of charge (though we did tip and it was well-appreciated). in-room discounted 2-person massage arranged within 10 minutes, great little bungalow rooms. the only thing that my husband mentioned was he found the bed a little too firm, but i loved it, personally. thanks, bunwin. we will definitely stay there again if we return to SR!

Excellent small. hotel. Rooms well proportioned and comfortable. Staff are friendly and efficient and seem to genuinely care. My partner was unwell as a result of eating elsewhere. Bunwin staff assistedeith ginger tea and trips to the pharmacy. Onlynegative is the location-quite a way from restaurants, markets etc but they do provide free Tuk Tuk rides.

Charming Boutique Hotel
The hotel was very charming and thought it was a delightful hideaway from the major roadway. We were a family of two adults and a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old. We chose to stay in the THREE BED room. The room was modern and the girls were delighted with the layout of the beds (so fun). The one hotel restaraunt served good food and the small pool was nice and clean. Other than that, the hotel does not offer much else. We were there during the rainy season so there were flooding and lots of puddles which made it impossible to just walk out of the hotel and explore as the hotel is a good fifteen minutes walking distance from the major road. Service was good enough. As traveling to a place like this, communication can be a factor, but the people of Cambodia are friendly and wonderful. For a boutique hotel, this is a good choice, but if you want a standard large hotel, then you will be disappointed. So easy to get around in taxis or tuk tuks and must visit the major outdoor market. Have fun.

Bunwin Hotel exceeded our expectations. I would describe the hotel as charming, quaint and well-designed. While it's location is somewhat off the main roads, they provide you with a free tuktuk service to shuttle you to town and back. And it's not really far from town and probably 10-15 mins away from Angkor Wat. They also provide a mobile phone so you can call the hotel anytime for pickup. I wouldn't hesitate to choose the same hotel again.

A fantastic and cosy hotel with excellent service
A really nice and cosy hotel which had one of the best hotel staff service I've experienced. The staff were warm and eloquent in English, very eager to help and accommodate your requests whenever they can. For example, giving us free ride to other nearby places we wanted to go, loan of mobile phones to us when we were out for us to call back for pick up or in case we were lost. They also gave great recommendations for massage and food places. Overall it was definitely a great stay and value for money. Would definitely recommend and return for a visit if I'm back at siem reap!

Perfect Oasis
We spent 5 nights in this amazing place. From the minute of our arrival to the moment they dropped us off at the airport, the staff was so attentive, courteous and welcoming! Even though its location is a bit far from everything, it was perfect for us. Quiet! Great pool area! Beautiful and spacious rooms! Very decent food! We really can't say enough good things about this place! I wish all Boutique Hotels were like this one.

Relaxing location with friendly staff
Thanks to the staff at the Bunwin Boutique Hotel we had a terrific 9 days in Siem Reap. The hotel was affordable and comfortable with an excellent choice of breakfasts included in the price and served in their airy upstairs restaurant. The hotel is a liitle way out of the city centre but they provide an efficient free dropoff and pickup service along with the loan of a mobile phone to call to arrange when and where to be picked up. This worked very well for us and we were never left waiting more than around 15 minutes. On the hot sultry days in early May it was always a joy to come back to the oasis of the hotel grounds to relax and cool down. Best of all the staff were always happy to assist with suggestions and planning for our days activities and also helped with advice on where to get some tailoring done that worked out very well. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a comfortable and quiet stay in Siem Reap. John and Sue, Australia

Although the location is a liitle far from town but compensated by free Tuk Tuk service, staff are helpful, they helped to book our bus ticket to Phnom Pehn and arranged transport with the hotel in phnom Penh to pick us up at the bus station.

Broken AC and Bad Attitude
I have stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Horrible experience! Starting from 1st day, the AC has gone broken. We requested a room change and the staff insists that all rooms are occupied and the conditioner can be fixed shortly. After my husband and I spent half an hour with 3 other men in our room working on AC, the AC is still not fixed. With no choice, we left for dinner, after the dinner, the AC finally works. But the 2nd day, same thing happens, and we wanted to change room again. Then the staff guaranteed us the AC would be fixed permanently this time. Then for the 3rd day, AC is broken again and it's really late at night. We asked to change room, and the staff initially repeats the old story: all rooms are full. Then, I said if you have no proper room to offer, I am checking out now. Magic! they have a better room for us?! Liars! Most importantly, I asked the same question: "can you move us to another room?" to several staffs during the 3 days and the answers I got are consistent: "all rooms are full". Only after I threaten them by saying I'm leaving, I was then moved to an another room. I have to say, these staffs must have been instructed by the owner to say no. Anyways, these are a bunch of LIARS! don't waste your money at this hotel with no AC! It's HOT in cambodia!

Bunwin is the best
This hotel is awesome. Staff are the nicest, most helpful, loveliest people you will ever meet. We had a somewhat rugged trip with lost luggage, sickness etc and the hotel went above and beyond to help. It's located on a somewhat dodgy street but the hotel itself is an oasis. Great pool, good food, located off the main streets in a quiet neighborhood. I can't say enough great things about this hotel.

Very Nice Stay
The hotel is beautiful. It is very private and cosy and surrounds a lovely pool. The gardens and design are very inviting. The room is spacious and the cement floor keeps the room clean and cool. There's a large ensuite bathtub. The breakfast is satisfying and menu is varied. Staff is extremely helpful though English is not fluent. The hotel is not walking distance to town. Hotel staff arrange a tuk tuk to town for free and the temples for a reasonable fee.

Bunwin definitely a boutique experience
Wow - what a great little hotel. Only about 9 rooms so there was definitely no crowds in the foyer or anywhere else which made getting the attention of staff quick and easy. I stayed 6 nights and was impressed with staff efficiency at everything be it organising transport to the temples or ordering a meal or drink or getting information about things around town. Everything worked well, the air conditioning, the wi-fi, TV, etc. They lend you a mobile phone for contacting reception when you want transport back from town. This system also worked when visiting the temples as the tuk-tuk driver could enter his mobile number into the phone instead of reception and contact could be made to let him know you were finished at a site and were waiting. This was handy as it is sometimes difficult at the busy sites to distinguish your tuk-tuk from the hundreds of others. The fact that it is a short distance out of town and off the main road was a plus because the shopping area is very busy and noisy and seems to go all night. I was glad I was not in one of the many main road hotels. There were tuk- tuks waiting outside all the time so getting anywhere fast was not a problem. The side road in gets a mention from many reviewers but it is not as bad now they have a new layer of gravel at least over the last 50m to the hotel. Even the rough bit is not noticeable in a car but only in a tuk-tuks as they have hard springs.

We cannot fault this hotel. Driving up to it I wondered if we had made the right decision. Tucked away just off a main city road, the hotel opens out into a calm oasis. After a hard day at Anghor Wat, to come back to the Bunwin was perfect. The staff are excellent, the rooms spacious and comfortable, a lovely pool area. Free Tuktuk rides in and out of the centre meant that it didn'tt matter that it was outside the centre.
