“New Jersey”
Very nice hotel with An excellent mall across the street. Newark just 20 min of distance, Manhattan 40 minutes. We have had an excellent time.
“great hotel, incredible value”
hotel was fantastic. the price was great, but hte extras were very expensive eg.$4.50 plus tax for a coke from the mini bar. other than that, the hotel was an extremely, unbelievably good value.
“Fabulous Hotel!”
The Short Hills Hilton is wonderful in every way. The people are extraordinarily friendly, the rooms are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. If every hotel were this plush, traveling would be a pleasure.
“First rate hotel”
This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are updated and very comfortable. It is nicer than many 5 star hotels. The room service food is good, but a little pricy. You can even park your own car. Good access to the freeway.
“Great gem”
Wonderful hotel - priced the same as major hotels by Newark airport ... but light years better ... and only 10-15 minutes away.
“A top drawer property”
This hotel, which looks from the outside like a rather undistinguished office building from the outside, holds an interior that looks like a palace: all marble, panelled, brass and floral arrangements "to die for." Lovely food--only little complaint was the slowness of the dinner service the one meal we had---but that is totally minor compared to being treated like royalty.
“Perfect Location, Amenities and this time cost”
This hortel is perfectly located for a week or BRUTAL shopping followed by a meal and collapse. Dont bother if you want to have an active nightlife - get a place in Manhattan. Hotel Room is good size nice LCD TV decent channels and good pay movie selection - get your popcorn and sodas from a local drugstore or supermarket - plenty of ice and youre set to rest the aching feet. Spa is ridiculaously expensive though the treatments are excellent but at least as costly as some 6* places in Dubai. But for a shopping break - there are malls and outlets withing a 10-15 mile radius which would cover most needs - Short Hills, Jersey Gardens and Secaucus - All with NJ taxes. Manhattan for the posh stuff, electronics at J&R downtown or B&H on 34/9. Excellent family friendly restaurants as well in Short hills - Hotel room service is a bit expensive
“Impressive: great service”
From the first time we entered the hotel until the moment we left, we experienced an extremely high sensitivity to our needs, even before we expressed them! As we entered, a catering employee asked us if she could direct us to the elevators. Any request was met with prompt, competent, personable response which resolved the issue. The property was in excellent condition; we saw that even the plants were given the same high level of attention as the guests. Superb experience! We would look forward to a return visit.
“DYNOMITE”
EVERYTHING WAS SUPER....I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO STAY OR RECOMMENND IN THE FUTURE......THE STAFF COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL....THANK YOU
“Obnoxious Porter set the tone...”
The price of the hotel was a bit high. As a frequent traveler I have a lot of experience staying at hotels and initially impressions can set the tone of a hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, I parked the car in front of the hotel with my spouse waiting in the car. The Porter asked me if someone was in the car in case it had to be moved. I went in to check-in which was a very quick and efficient process. Even with 3 people in line ahead of me I was checked in and returned to the car under 5 minutes. Returning to my car, I found my souse out of the car in a heated exchange with one of the Porters. It seem, they were in a loud and condensing tone telling them to move the car away for arriving guests. they were concerned they were losing business from taking luggage from other arriving guests. Of which none had arrived since we got there. Up to that point I would have used the Porter but he was so unprofessional, my partner refused to give him the business. Also, this set the tone for our whole experience there. Also, preparing for dinner, our bathroom had no water pressure in the shower and no shower mat. We had to call Room Service to have these issues fixed for our morning shower. For the price of the hotel, we had higher expectations. on a positive note, other than the porter, everyone one else was great.
