This property has THE hardest beds I've ever touched in my life. The staff is unenthusiastic about customer service. It was a smelly 80F degrees in the lobby. The room was clean, very bare - and that was okay for the price. But the bed literally felt like plywood with sheets on it.

Only real issue was lack of internet access. Although connected to their WiFi the internet connection was v hit and miss. Essentially useless. Otherwise fine. What you might expect for the price paid.

The showers had wonderful pressure and they were clean. This is a 3 star hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were a little hard for me, but that is China for you so no point in complaining there. Front desk had people who spoke English and so did the restaurant and bar. That is exciting for me. If I ever come back to Shenzhen I would definately stay here. My stay was inexpensive and it included breakfast. They also have a free shuttle to the airport.

Poor choice for Shenzhen
The hotel staff themselves were all very nice. The hotel itself was disappointing. Our rooms were available when we arrived (a plus), but everything is run down and just feels like you are staying in an ashtray. The bed was essentially an elevated concrete block and the shower head in the bathtub was about 3' above the tub. Would never stay there again.

False advertisment, bad resevation problem
Location are far away from airport, when call foe hotel pickup, they insist I dont have researvation, no pickup. I had to tell them that I will pay again then send pickup. Checkin took 20min due to not able to find researvation. I had to promise them that I will pay when check out This is a expedia false with not giving researvation to hotel, cause me with problem after problems. Room are dirty and outdated, hallway are dark, almost need flash light just to wall the hallway. False addvertisement on room newly renovated !!, Bathroom dirty, and not clean at all, I have pictures to proof it. Carpet fell sticky, it not shampoo for long time. When we finally check in its already 11:15pm, My flight is 8:50am, need ti be at airport at 6am, ask if I can have my free breakfast at 6am, they flat out say no ! We did not even get anything to eat !! This is worse trip ever !

The hotel is NOT opposite the airport, it is opposite the OLD airport, therefore it is a 15 minute drive. The hotel is old, dimly lit, and not very appealing. The staff speaks little English, the breakfast is laid out like a cafeteria with no service staff.

A hotel with customer service to be proud of!
Although I wasn't using the airport the hotel was also near to the Metro station so a convenient location and with room and breakfast at the price paid felt it was excellent value for money. The room was clean and everything worked including the WiFi! Although the location of the new airport terminal makes this hotel not quite as convenient (hence the low price I guess) it is used by airline crews which I think is a good sign, and with the almost on demand airport shuttle the actual location is secondary. The particular PLUS for me personally was to be greeted each morning by the hotels young customer services manager who was most interested to hear my comments both good and bad about 'her' hotel! Wonderful PR in my opinion and something that I have never experienced at any of the many other hotels.com accommodations I have had the pleasure of staying in. And for me as a solo travellers gave me great comfort, security and peace of mind.

Stayed here for a night after a late arrival into Shenzhen airport. The late check-in was perfect, there was a delicious breakfast buffet in the morning, and easy metro access (Airport East stop) from across the street.

The distance to the airport is wrong as their website is outdated. The hotel is further away from the new airport. Nobody picked me up though I give the flight details. The first room which they reserved for me was old, smelly and dirty. Luckily they changed to a better room, delay the whole process. Also , the staff forgot to give me a wake up call on my last day, almost miss my flight. On the whole, value for money as it includes breakfast and wifi. Also, complimentary shuttle to the airport every half an hour is convenient.

Convenient hotel for airport
My brother and I got into the Shenzhen airport late and had an early flight, so decided it stay at this hotel for the night. It's a 15-minute drive to the airport and super convenient. We were tired and didn't fiddle around with the shuttle to the hotel but really appreciated the free shuttle to the airport in the morning, which was prompt and easy. Also enjoyed the free breakfast. I thought the staff were professional and helpful. We speak Chinese, so working with the staff was easy, but I'm sure it would work fine if you don't speak Chinese.

I have stayed 3 nights, The staff was very helpful and so friendly. The last night of my stay felt like being at home with all friends around. special thanks to John, Suri, PU, Mathew and of course the sweet Dimbile. Shower was good, hot water in seconds, breakfast was nice even no big variety but Miss Dimble makes your wish as her command. thank you all.

Typical run down Chinese hotel but good value
It's very simple. If you want clean modern hotel right in the terminal you stay at Hyatt Place. If you want to pay 70% less you stay here. If you know what typical aging local Chinese hotel is like then you know this place and I don't need to say much more. If you don't know this kind of place and you came all the way to China then I recommend you try it just to check that box. Noise level - Very quiet and I'm very sensitive. Neighborhood - Right in front of bustling low end neighborhood with lots of restaurants (none looked very good). But you could buy and bottle of wine and sit outdoors at one of the noodle shops and feel like in the "real" China. Beds - Hard. I like it but others complain. AC - Not very good but good enough Shower - Great water pressure and hot water. Fitout - Was never very good in first place and somewhat dirty and worn but still acceptable (for men). Shuttle - Count on 20 minutes to terminal and conceivably more in traffic. Breakfast - Looked bad but probably some items to satisfy basic hunger if you need food.

SUNWAY is a good hotel but the location is out of town area. for those who wish to shop and buy not recommend to stay here as you need to take the MRT to town approx 1hrs++. I will still choice this hotel because it is nearer to the place we need to go - TONGGUAN..very good service that they can pick you up from airport and sending you there on request.

I had to stay for a business job at the old Shenzhen Airport close by the Hotel. I got the advice by a fellow colleague who has been there earlier. I would say that the hotel itself is pretty average. It is nothing special and in my opinion it is a bit "aged". Nut beside that, my room was clean and it was well maintained. The internet access is cable based but for a 100RMB deposit a small wireless access point is available. An excellent restaurant is directly located at the hotels second floor and a richly crowded neighborhood is right behind the hotel, with any type of food you can think of So anything I would expect for a business stay is available. The reason I gave the hotel an "excellent" voting is not the hotel itself, as I said, it is very average by Chinese standards. What makes this hotel very special is the comforting by the personal. I had an outstanding stay and had never before in Asia a hotel staff that took that much care about the guest interests. I definitely will come back for my next stay in Shenzhen...

Awful place. Smells. Bed felt like concrete. Booked non smoking room but it had that foul old cigarette smell plus two ash trays in the room. I felt dirtier upon exiting than I did when I arrived despite using the pathetic shower set up for someone four foot tall. Never again.
