nice landscaping,sea viewPosted 8-Apr-2014
Pros: sea view, landscaping, seafood restaurant and breakfast chef
Cons: Front office staff service level must improve.Top management need to be seen in this resort hotel to ensure the service level required.
Location: location is great. sea activities are available, camel riding,Soho square,Nemaa old street market are nice to walk at during evenings.
great view of Nemaa Bay from the room and anywhere in the hotel. The breakfast buffet chef is friendly and fast with making orders. The sea front seafood restaurant offers great fish in the oven including local and salmon. The staff is friendly but they lack service ethics. Front office staff ,though seem friendly ,but offer below standard service.

The perfect example of a resort hotelPosted 20-Jan-2014
Cons: Some hardware such as cupboard doors which need adjusting, bathroom looked a little tired and dated. Bathroom amenity. Free wifi throughout is bette
My main purpose of choosing this hotel was its garden reefs for snorkelling and scuba diving. The coral reefs were easily accessible, not only from the dedicated jetti but also from the hotel beach as they extend like a shallow shelf for about 100 metres from the shore where it suddenly drops to about 15 metres deep revealing a sandy bottom. It is also very popular with local diving centres as I saw three or four dive boats simultaneously mooring in the hotel's garden reefs on most days. Some facilities in the room and the main communal decor might look a little dated (the wardrobe doors in my room needed adjusting) but where it lacks glitz, it is more than made up for by the staff's execution of top class hospitality to make your stay truly comfortable and unforgettable. The garden was tended by its dedicated staff every single day, which surprised me, but their care must be worthwhile as the garden looks impeccable. Enjoying a breakfast basking in the morning sun on the outside terrace was one of my favourite moments. I will definitely come back to stay here again.

Pros: Quality of food was good
Cons: Better and cheaper wifi. The hotel needs to be refurbished. Service from reception and concierge is slow to non existent.

Nice Hotel But.....Posted 24-Oct-2013
Pros: Clean. Quite. Location
Cons: Rooms Need Renovation (Stayed at room 1616)
Location: U need to take a taxi for cool areas like Hadaba and Naama Bay walk
I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Hotel was clean, food was good, pool and beach were great...but.....while me and my wife and kids were sitting at the beach during the daytime, my wife mobile phone (White I-Phone 5) disappeared. We discovered the absence of the phone during our entry to our room 1 hr later. We tried calling the number, however it was found “off” although the mobile phone was charged. I contacted the security supervisor in the hotel and they did their searches and “investigation” as per his words, and couldn't reach any conclusion. I was told by one of the staff that you are having 24/7 surveillance cameras all over the hotel facilities, still I am wondering how effective are these cameras in such situations. Frankly, me and my wife are very disappointed with such an incident. I wished that the security measures at your hotel would have been much more effective. I would like to document these above words as “Formal Complain” and would like to pass it to Hyatt Upper Management.

Very nice hotel by an amazing reefPosted 21-Oct-2013
The hotel is very nice, beautiful marble and cascade of pools, looks like an arabic fairytale, especially by the night. Rooms inside are rather internationally looking and are a little bit tired but I understand it would be crazy to invest in a renovation with all the current instability in the country. The staff is fantastically friendly and pleasant, albeit not always equally efficient, but this is South in the end. Food is decent, and Souk restaurant is a great concept, a chance to dine en plein air with everybody around the table free to pick any cuisine they want from a great selection - I really loved it! But the most amazing thing is of course the reef - right at your doorsteps, with all the fish and weeds and colours and shapes. Priceless. The only downside of this beauty is that it attracts a lot of people and there were always a bunch of ships with divers/snorkelers parked around - but saying that, I never found them of any nuisance.

Superb House Reef and Excellent ServicePosted 18-Aug-2013
Pros: We particularly liked the location of the hotel which boasts a superb house reef, suitable for both snorkelling and scuba diving.
Cons: Increased pest control against mosquitos.
Location: The location is near Neema Bay, if you like more social outdoor dining and shopping areas.
This hotel was a great choice, clean, comfortable and value for money. The rooms were well appointed with spacious, clean bathrooms. A lot of reviews for different hotels in Sharm El Sheikh mention that rooms appear tired or are in need of some renovation, this is not the case for the Hyatt Regency as the furnishings & fittings in our room were immaculate and everything was in good working order. The service we received from staff at all levels from within the hotel was also impeccable. Food was good and not overly expensive, the fresh fish served at the Beach Bar Restaurant was particularly enjoyable. Our trip was primarily organised with scuba diving in mind and we were very impressed by both the professionalism & friendliness of staff at the Dive Centre and the superb condition of the Hyatt House Reef; simply beautiful! We would definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency Hotel to others and we plan to return ourselves in December. Perhaps it is also worth the mention that despite problems elsewhere in Egypt, we had absolutely no indication of any of these troubles in Sharm El Sheikh. In accordance with the UK FCO website, the Red Sea Resort region remains a great holiday destination choice.
