I write this reluctantly because I do not want too many people to know about this gem of a hotel. When I travel away, finding accomodation that is comfortable that I can settle into quickly and get a good nights sleep is top priority. This place is a home away from home. If you are looking for a self contained 5 star with a large lobby, bars, restaurants with a huge spread of international foods for breakfast, well appointed gym and all the trappings then go elsewhere. This is a boutique hotel after all.
The staff are unobtrusive but there when you need them and very nice people. The executive lounge is useful for meetings, casual drinks and puts on an adequate breakfast with real expresso which can be hard to find in China. The rooms are well appointed and laid out. Setting up computer, work station, battery charging and the tea and coffee making facilities are simple and intuitive. The air conditioner works on an indiviual room basis and you can open the doors onto your own small balcony to let the outside air in. Great for smokers.
I love this hotel and as long as they maintain some smoking rooms I'll definitely be back again.
