“Fantastic hotel.”
Hotel location is perfect, very close to Alcazar, Cathedral, etc. Barrio Santa Cruz is excellent for restaurants. Hotel is clean, service is excellent, comfortable, clean, etc, and reasonably priced. Would absolutely stay there again.
“Best hotel on our 12 day trip to Spain!”
We traveled to Spain for 12 days and stayed in several different cities. This was, by far, the best hotel we stayed in. It was more like a "bed and breakfast". The room was very small but we loved that it was the perfect depiction of SPAIN! It is in a great location, easy walk to everything. The staff was so amazing! They were professional, kind, and made us feel like "home." Eating on the roof was absolutely beautiful...can't say enough about this hotel! My only disappointment was that the rooftop jacuzzi was not warm...I wanted to soak my weary feet! That said, we were very impressed with this hotel!!
“Great owner occupied hotel”
Lovely small hotel very close to sights and facilities
“A romantic and characterful hotel”
Hotel Amadeus was a charming place to stay, providing a lovely memorable experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, never intrusive but always there as soon as you require anything. They spoke English very well, and provided us with a map and circled all the main attractions we might like to visit. The reception rooms were full of character - with musical instruments both adorning the walls and available for guests to play. Our room was a superior double in the newer part of the hotel (apparently there is an old part but we didn't see any of these rooms). It was smaller than we had imagined, having seen photographs of other rooms described as superior doubles, but it was big enough for what we needed and it hard a large bathroom with his/hers sinks. It was an interior room which meant that the window wasn't onto the street but there was plenty of natural light as it opened on to an interior outdoor courtyard. It also meant the room was very quiet. Being in a 'touristy' area, you might have to be selective about where you choose to eat and drink as food is hit and miss and prices are higher. Having said this, very close to the hotel we discovered a couple of cheap bars that served tapas - one of which is 'Fabiolas' which serves a glass of cervesa for 1 euro, the other being 'Taberna La Fresquita' next to Hotel Goya, which served cheap tapas until late and was very characterful. I would certainly recommend Hotel Amadeus.
“Would definitely stay again!”
Friendly reception staff who speak excellent English, beautiful roof top bar and jacussi, and lovely decor - well worth the slightly higher price to other city-centre hotels!
“Get lost & love Seville's old Santa Cruz quarter”
My husband and I stayed in the Amadeus for three nights in April. Wonderful surprise. It is an absolutely beautiful typical Sevillian town house right in the old quarter within easy walking distance of all the sights and tapas bars. The hotel has a musical theme (not surprisingly!) and classical music plays gently throughout the hotel. Music students would adore the hotel as it has soundproofed rooms for practising and musical instruments available to borrow. The jacuzzi - and bar - on the roof is a wonderful way to relax and admire the varied rooftops and architecture of Seville - including at night the illuminated Giralda. Wish we could have stayed longer. Everyone gets lost in the narrow fascinating streets - that is the whole point of this part of Seville - but it doesnt matter, eventually you see something you recognise and can get home! Look in every door way and entrance - you see the most wonderful and unexpected courtyards.
“Music hotel”
Hotel Amadeus is a gem! It is on a side street in the Santa Cruz district with a quick walk to the main plaza, Cathedral, Alcazar and restaurants. it has a wonderful roof top terrace with plenty of room to relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset. It is a quaint small hotel with very helpful staff. There is a grand piano in the main lobby and a few sound proof music rooms. There is also an annex with a few additional rooms. The reason for the 4 under comfort is that our room arrangement was a little awkward with the tub in the middle of the room which meant you had to walk around it. Other than that, it was great. If you like small hotels that give you the flavor of the city along with modern conveniences, you will love Hotel Amadeus.
“Best Hotel in Sevilla”
The Amadeus is a beautiful, amazing hotel with a very friendly staff. Everything was perfect and the small details of the hotel made it very memorable. We loved the rooftop terrace with a view of the Giralda! You must stay at this hotel!
“Great value, excellent location”
This hotel is situated in the middle of the old city, a 5 minute stroll to the Alcazaar and Cathedral. It is close to tapas bars and flamenco shows. The room was clean and well appointed.
“Classic hotel in the old city”
Small rooms are REALLY small, but the hotel has great charm and super location. Hotel staff can be counted on for restaurant recommendations, and the location is right in the middle of old Seville.
