This was by far the worst 5 star hotel I've been to. Im not sure how this hotel got a 5 star rating in the first place. First of all the room was in a very poor condition. Pics are attached to this review - There were holes in the pillow covers probably from cigarette butts. I had them changed when my room was made up, but the new pillows also had holes in them, but in a different spot. There was a half eaten bento box or a take out box left by a previous guest which was rotting outside the window probably from when the weather was cold enough to keep the food outside. In the bathroom there is a cheap looking plastic bar to hang shower curtains but the curtains were not properly hung. Also, don't expect the room size to be what's posted on the room info. It is significantly smaller than what is listed. Second, the service was terrible. The staff needs to be re-trained for customer service, especially the ones at the front desk for check in. To use the swimming pool you need to request a voucher which you can only use during the time youre allotted. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation trip without a set schedule but I had no freedom to go swimming whenever I wanted. You would need to tell the clerk when you'll be using the swimming pool in advance to get the voucher. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone despite its convenient location. Any hotel will have better services than Sheraton Gangnam.
