“Very International, very nice experience”
It helped that the Lexington, out of all the very tall structures in the area, is the tallest building nearby. It made it very easy to find from the subway. It was so tall and so dark by this time, it stood out like a beacon. It is a huge building, at least 14 floors, two of them filled with restaurants. I did not go to any of them, wanting instead to try out as much Korean food as I could, but the luxury is there. It is a truly international hotel. My stay was 7 days, and in that 7 days, I saw the rooms fill up with Koreans, Americans, Chinese. and in the final few days, the place was invaded by Japanese, here to attend the annual Dream Concert. It was really a great experience to have so many different kinds of people here! The front lobby staff is always well staffed and very helpful. My room was on the 7th floor and it was a very big room and very comfortable. What was great about my room: it had a cell phone that I could have taken out to use in Korea. Though I did not use this, I found it to be such a neat idea. There is a little fridge stocked with bottled water, beverages, beer and Snickers bar? I thought the Snickers was kind of an odd choice, but its there. It had a TV with both English and Korean TV channels, but very few choices. The bed was big, the carpet was kind of old (I read a review of this before my flight, so I had it in my head to check that). There are TONS of great restaurants nearby, many open past 2am. Cool
“Lexington Hotel is excellent value”
The Lexington Hotel was much nicer than we expected for such an inexpensive hotel. We looked at other hotels in Seoul and they were all nearly $100-200 more per night than this hotel. I would rate this as a 3.5 star hotel. We did not use a lot of the ammenities. The lobby is very nice. The restaurants seemed nice as well. The staff was very helpful. The location is in the financial district, and their didn't seem to be a lot of shopping or things to do close by at night, but the subway is only a few blocks away and the bus is also very close. There is a beautiful park only blocks away. This is a very safe area. This hotel was everything we were looking for. The rooms were comfortable, and pretty standard (tv, chair and table, bed and dresser +bathroom). We have no complaints and would easily stay here again and highly recommend. Just behind the hotel also is a 7-eleven, dunkin donuts, Starbucks, Paris cafe, and hamburger joint amongst other things.
“from a regular, lol”
Well, now, this is my third time at this hotel so that would make me a regular, I suppose. What keeps me coming back, is that this is a very international hotel with guests from all over. The staff speaks English and more than helpful on all kinds of questions, not only about the hotel but about navigating my way around. For instance, I was in need of cash and couldn't figure out why the ATMs were rejecting my bank card. The lady at the front desk was more than helpful in explaining I needed to find an ATM that handles foreign cards and told me where I could find it. This was extremely helpful service. This time, the light switch to the bathroom would not turn on, so I told the front desk and they kept apologizing to me. This was not a big deal to me, and I felt sorry for even bringing it up. They told me they would fix it promptly. And they did. Everyone is very polite and the rooms and lobby is always clean. Also, there is a bus that stops right in front of the hotel to ferry guests back and forth from the airport. Nice!
“good hotel”
convenience of airport/hotel shuttle bus. good, clean hotel.
“Worth the Price...”
Enjoyed the stay with very friendly staff throughout the hotel. The carperts in the hallways need replacing but overall a very nice hotel!
“Expedia special was a good deal!”
Good deal! Triple room with breakfast. Subway , convenient stores and places to eat right walking distance. Airport Limo pickup and dropoff right outside the front of the hotel.
“Good service, and very convenient location.”
Other than the noise from the renovations one morning, my stay at the hotel was pretty good. The location is very good, Line 9 (National Assembly Station) is just a 5 minute walk away and there is an Airport Limo Bus service every 20 minutes. The rooms look a bit dated but at least the beds were quite comfortable and the room itself was clean. Nice, friendly, helpful staff.
“Great location, nice retreat, comfortable”
Busy hotel. Obviously gets a lot of traffic - both business and tourist. Easy to see why: comfortable, attentive staff, sizeable rooms. I found my room (on the 'business' floor) to be a little tired. Nevertheless, it was comfortable and quiet with a fabulous view. Breakfast buffet was pretty simple (I recommend Starbucks or The french cafe out the back of the hotel for a better breakfast ;-)) Airport shuttle stops right outside- by far the easiest and cheapest way to get to the hotel from the airport. The only downside was that their internet speed via ethernet in the rooms was dire. Definately would recommend though.
“Everyone knows Lexington”
My mom and I enjoyed our stay at Lexington very much. When we arrived at our hotel at 11.30 pm, we were naturally tired and ready to go to bed. And we were so happy we got good service right from check-in. Check-in was done in less than 2 minutes! Our room was ready and everything was in perfect order! During our stay in Seoul, the hotel staff had been very helpful and are proficient in English. Why I really love this hotel is that all the taxi drivers know it. We never encountered a taxi driver who didn't understand what "Lexington Youido" is or where it is. Beautiful lobby is a plus.
“it's a great hotel for the business traveler”
we had a a nice stay at the hotel, the staff were very helfull and there english was excellent
