“Great place to stay in Seoul.”
Eager to stay this hotel for my next travel.
“helpful hotel in convenient location”
We were stay in the new building so everything new. The triple room was big. Free internet in the business center. Near subway station so easy to go everywhere. Lots of resturants nearby and supermarket is just opposite the hotel. The minor issues are... shower got no curtain and there was no wastebin inside toilet. Hope that the hotel will improve these two area to make their hotel even better. I will probably stay in this hotel if I go to Seoul again.
“Friendly and affordable”
Hotel Victoria has friendly services that are vey helpful and the rooms are affordable for those on a budget and who wants comfort
“Enjoyed staying”
Very good experience.
“Good accomodation for low price”
Hotel is located very close to subway station and for its price, it has very comfortable rooms.
“Good Service - Average Hotel”
The hotel service is very good, the employees were always willing to help to solve language barriers, since is very difficult to find English speakers in Korea. The hotel has average instalations. Is good if you don't want to spend much money. However, is far from the city's main attractions.
“A little far from City Center, but a very good value”
The rooms are very large and moderately comfy. I had a European (non-electric) bidet in my room, which is a rarity in Korea. The staff speaks very good English, which is important for those without Korean language skills. The breakfast is ample and yummy. I was thrilled with the Internet *connection*. I like to use my own laptop when I travel. Many hotel rooms in Korea have their own computer and if you try to disconnect the ethernet and plug it into your own computer havoc can ensue, so having just the connection is ideal--for me. Now, you must understand that the hotel is about 20 minutes from Central Seoul by subway. I like this, as the neighborhood is less hectic. To others, this may be burdensome. A huge plus are the Lotte and Hyundai Department stores just minutes by foot, and the E-Mart just across the street. I love E-mart! You can buy everything from clothes to fridges to wine to octopus in this mammoth shopping center. There are many restaurants in the area, both Korean and Western (including Outback Steakhouse, although I can't imagine why anyone would go all the way to Korea and eat at Outback). All in all, a pleasant place to stay, and very foreigner friendly.
“Great location, good price, nice people”
If you have any business to be in the eastern part of Korea, and want to stay in Dongdaemun and areas near that, Victoria is a good hotel, It's not a hole in the wall, and the price is a little higher, but it's sufficient. The subway is close by, and even getting into downtown Seoul isn't too long. It's a hotel you can tell your frends and family you stayed at and recommend, for a few nights at least.
“Big rooms, bad location”
We booked the standard rooms through expedia and got big rooms with a two-person jacuzzi. The front desk staff was always very accommodating. The hotel is older and the hallways are a little stuffy and musty, though. And the toilet clogged easily. We had to get a plumber to unclog it a few times. The location was also far from the main sites and shopping areas. It was more of a working class area, though there were some bar streets near the subway station. Very few people in the area could speak English. Overall, though, it was a great room for a good price. Good value.
“Decent for price”
The hotel was a few blocks away from where the airport shuttle drops you off. Check in took about 5 mins. The room was clean and recently updated. The heated floors were a plus because I went during the winter. Two things to note is that the hotel has a night club so the music is pretty loud when you're outside your room. I was on the top floor of the new building so it was acceptable once I was in my room. There was barely any hot water at night. I found that I had to take a shower in the morning. Convenient location. Would highly recommend for people travelling on budget.
