“Handy and reasonable”
The PJ is located very near the subway stop (Euljiro-4) and therefore handy to anyplace one might want to go in Seoul. The rooms were great and the amenities good (escept, strangely, for the fact that there was no shampoo provided). Although breakfast was not included in our stay, it was good and reasonably priced and there is a very good Korean restaurant on the ground floor.
“way too good for really reasonable price”
beacuse of recent rennovations, hotel was super clean and looked new. Hotel is a little far from Myeongdong(which is a main shopping and attraction place in seoul). but why dont u just take a cab. it's really cheap. it won't cost $2 from Myeongdong to Hotel, which is why I never took subway while i visited there.
“Great place”
We were upgraded to a suite for the same price. The suites were very nice! It had a sitting room with a television, a bedroom with a double and single (and a television), and another bedroom with a single. Great bathroom, complete with elaborate toilet. The desk staff was very helpful and wrote Korean names for taxi directions everywhere we wanted to go. Since we were pretty much in the center of the city, taxi rides out were very reasonable. My son is in Korea and I have told him not to miss this place.
“comfortable stay”
Hotel PJ isn't in a great location, but it's a good deal for the money spent. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I also really like the sitting area they had in the room for tea - more a traditional Korean style area with mats on the floor around a table rather than the usual boring arm chairs you find in hotel rooms. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Overall, fabulous room. The walk from the air limosine drop off was short, but down a narrow street which can be off-putting for some first-time visitors. Once you get off the air limo look up and to the right a little and you should see a sign for the hotel on a cement post. Don't let the surrounding area fool you though, the hotel is super nice. There were 2 double beds in the room which easily could have fit 4 people. And the room is spacious enough that if you had 4 people, you wouldn't be on top of each other all the time. Good deal.
“Very Impressed”
We were very impressed with the hotel for the price. The staff's English was pretty good and they were very helpful with maps and directions. The location was excellent - close to 2 subway stops and within walking distance of many tourist areas. The restaurant was expensive, but there are lots of good coffee shops and restaurants close by.
“Very reasonably priced and strongly recommended”
We were very pleased with the service and location of this hotel. Within walking distance (5 minutes) to Chungmuro subway. After airport bus dropped us off. 5 minutes walk to hotel from drop off bus station (make suer to ask for direction as the hotel can be difficult to find). We went through a narrow alley and soon the familiar hotel building is visible. Hotel is well kept and maintained (recommended to book twin room)...It is more than what we expected given rating of this hotel. Bed and bathroom are clean with full amenities including a dispenser with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. concierge and front desk friendly and helpful. Fluent in English. The hotl has a shuttle bus service (FOC) that runs very frequently to take you to the nearby shopping places. Very convenient. Taxi is very cheap within the SEOUL CBD. We would return on next visit. ..
“Excellent Service and Hospitality”
I booked this based on location and was not disappointed. The area being a working one is far better than the shopping areas near City Hall and has a real Korean feel about it. There are markets nearby where you can see the real Seoul and so we were delighted. Being English it was a delight to be able to help with some of the menu translations that were being written in the Breakfast area. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special by every member of staff we encountered. Compared to the shabby service levels we have to endure in England it was a rare treat and a hotel we will definitely return to on our next visit to Seoul. We were in Korea to study their culture and the hotel kindly invited us in to see a number of weddings being held at the hotel. Tour bookings were made on our behalf and the staff speak good English, it was great to be made to feel special. Overall could not fault and would recommend without hesitation. To save your feet take the free hotel shuttle.
“Great hotel”
Hotel PJ was great - nice 10 minute walk to the 2 Chinatown/ladies markets and surrounded by hundreds of great little shops and cheap restaurants. We caught the taxi from the airport as we're large family of 5 carrying 2 very large suitcases. As the Incheon Airport is very far from Seoul, it cost US$100 coming in US$80 going back. Would recommend the bus or shuttle for those that can economize. Korean sourvenirs and small stuff are great value, large items are not that cheap. we haven't yet used the tax refund facility at airports. Strangely, Incheon Airport doesn't allow 24 hour prior check in like Singapore's Changi Airport.
“Un très bon hôtel dans une ville agréable avec des habitants charmants”
Très bon hôtel avec un geste commercial à la clef puisqu'ils avaient compris que nous étions deux adultes et un enfant et nous étions trois adultes: nous avons eu pour le même prix une grande chambre avec trois petits déjeuners pour nos cinq nuits soit une économie de 275 euros!!! Bravo. A recommander.
“Awesome Hotel for a cheap price”
The hotel is really nice for its price. The location is pretty good as well, pretty much at the heart of seoul and walkable distance from a lot of tourist/cultural stuff (15-20 mins walk from Korean traditional village, etc). Would definitely come back to this hotel. It's one of the newer hotels that has not been discovered, so the price will definitely increase in the future...book now! haha this sounded like i'm one of their agent xD...just book it, you won't be disappointed since it took me forever to research for good hotels, and i'm a comfort freak.
