“Pleasant Surprise! Highly Recommend!”
We were simply looking for an inexpensive place to stay for a night at the last minute. Logged on and booked the least expensive hotel in Seoul, which happened to be the Hotel DODO, even though there were no pictures, decided to take our chances as it was just for one night. Upon arrival at the hotel we were shocked! The lobby lobby is stylish and nicely designed, and this continues throughout the hotel. The rooms we received were quite modern and spacious enough. There were no signs of wear and everything was in great shape. Lots of extras in the rooms like free drinks, internet, tea, silk pajamas, slippers, etc! We were thrilled and decided to extend our stay and stay for several nights. We also loved walking through the hallways on each of the 8 floors. Each is a piece of art, and each is decorated differently!
“Recommended!”
Had suite, amazing! Nice and big and well furnished. Arrived early for checking but didn't have to pay the 25,000. Jacuzzi massive, but bubbles didn't work. Reccended hotel for price, however not best location
“Hotel is in industrial area”
If you need a hotel in the heart of the action with hotel staff that speak perfect English, this is not the place for you. But that said, the staff was extremely friendly, the room was always spotlessly clean, and it is a short walk to the Metro. The only trouble I had, was the first night, when I couldn't figure out how to turn off all the lights (check your phone), or turn on the air conditioner (TV remote, but the instructions weren't in English.) The neighborhood is very industrial, don't expect nice restaurants and bars nearby, but for me it was more important to have a nice clean room, than to be in the middle of the action. I walked alone from the metro nightly between 9 and 10 o'clock and never felt the least bit threatened. It's also a short walk to Youngdongpo Market, where this is a McDonalds or Pizza Hut, as well as a bus drop off and pick up from the airport.
“Clean, Reasonably Priced, and Somewhat Convenient”
Be aware that this is a "love hotel." As in, not a regular "family friendly" hotel. The pros: 1) it's very private and quiet, which is nice, and 2) it's super clean, which is even nicer. The cons: 1) no drawers or closets to put your clothes in (since, as a "love hotel," it's only supposed to be used for a night), 2) no big windows to look out of, and 3) very low lighting (which may be good if you don't really want to see the person you're sleeping with, but horrible for putting make-up on!). The price is reasonable and the location is somewhat convenient, being only 7-10 minutes walking distance from the Yeongdeungpo subway stop. Also, this stop is only five stops away from the Seoul Station exit. I would totally recommend it, based on cleanliness alone.
“Small but gets the job done”
I stayed in a single economy room. The room and hotel were very clean and check in/out was quick and painless. The only window in the room was a tiny 3'x3' one that was opaque when closed. Came with a big flatscreen TV and an old computer with working internet (just be sure to hit the language button on the start menu to flick the keyboard to english). About a 10min walk from the Singil and Yeungdongpo Market subway stations which makes getting around Seoul pretty easy. Not a whole lot of stuff directly next to the hotel though, so you'll be using the subway a lot.
“Great for the price!”
I found this hotel to be great for the price. The location put you about a five minute walk from two subway stations and not far from shopping and restaurants. I stayed 4 nights and wasn't disappointed. Some of the staff speak better English than others though. It was difficult at times to get a clear answer about tours and directions. The others staying here appeared to be respectable. I didn't notice anything that made me think it to be a love hotel.
“Apr 2012 stay”
Feelings is still like a love hotel as well But it's very quiet, clean and safe So, with this price is not bad to have this room Walking to station is just about 10 minutes Many restaurants/ cafe around
“a nice place to stay - interesting neighbourhood -”
Having read that this hotel is a love hotel i was a bit sceptical, on arrival the hotel is very clean and well kept. Do not be afraid of staying in this hotel it is more of a Tourist hotel than a love hotel - we did not see any evidence of this place being a love hotel. Note to visitors: make sure you have the address details in korean as taxi drivers do not appear to know where to go (sometimes even in korean they are still a little unsure). i would definately stay here again. hotel is a short walk to singal subway station.
“Great room poor customer service”
I would recommend this Hotel to someone who is not interested in customer service and only wants a nice room. The floors are heated, the rooms are clean, and internet is provided in the rooms for you. Do be careful when entering the elevator as the doors have a quick closing response time.
“Acceptable hotel in a marginal neighborhood”
The hotel actually was not that bad. The expectation - from driving up to the hotel - was extremely low,so you could barely disappoint on that. The room was big, but the air quality in the hotel, and the room, was one of spray cleaners. Personally I will never stay here again, and I won't recommend anyone to stay here either. Breakfast starts at 8 (!), even though posted to be at 7. And in Seoul if you need to be at a meet at any decent time, forget having breakfast at 8. 6.30 at the latest. Bed comfort, as most places in Asia, very marginal. Big bathroom, with all glass walls, and a large bubble bath (bubbles not working) really did not add any value ether. If you're on a strict budget, consider it, otherwise - stay out of it.
