Great location+comfy beds
This hotel is in a great location. If you are bus savvy, I was able to get here from Seoul Station by bus in less than 15 minutes. The wifi is strong. There was free water in the room. Free toiletries and great eateries around. The bed was comfy and the room itself was clean. The bathroom is a wet shower. I would stay here again.

Home away from home
A great place to stay in Seoul, it's near all the bars and restaurants of Itaewon but off the main road so there is no noise at night. It also has everything you need for a short of medium term stay. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the roof garden is fantastic.

Very Good but very small rooms
Staff was lovely, location is good, but up hill, if you want to stay in Itaewon.There is a well kept roof top garden with excellent views. Kitchenette Rooms are very Small. Tiny dorm size refridgerator and the stove has one burner, Good pans, and other kitchen ware. Washing machine worked well, but has to take clothes to roof to get them dry. Room and all items very clean.

Emma was very kind to order a taxi for me, and her smile just like the sunshine out of the window. Yes, please choose higher level instead of basement if you would expect a total different view.

Perfect location and perfect breakfast
This hotel with only 500m to the station Iteawon has everything what is necessary to stay in Korea. Very delicious breakfast is included, floor heating in every room for best comfort even in winter and a cleaning service every day that is very good. The staff is also helpful when you forgot for example the adapter for power plugs. Overall rating very good. I only needed to get used to the shower close to the toilet but it seems to be Korean style.

Hilly side GV residence.
Trying to find CV residence initially especially after a long flight was pretty tiring and frustrating especially if there are no signs around . Luckily after several attempts, we just look up , - lo and behold the BIG sign on GV residence . The walk up the hill initially was not for those with weak knees or legs especially if you're carrying 2 big luggages . But once there , met up with the concierge , Juinn ( hopefully , I got the name spelt correctly ) , was fantastic , her warmth and hospitality makes you feel at home. No to mention another staff by the name of Seon , as well as the cleaner ahjummas, GV residence , made us feel we're home . The apartment comes with a washer and a kitchen , thoroughly clean.. For muslims , ideal place, as it is close to most of the halal restaurants in Itaewon .

Cosy and great location!
A little hard to find, but a great location once you know your way around. Staff were very pleasant! Breakfast had a small range of options but that was fine if you weren't trying to eat completely western. Breakfast guy was very kind and helpful. Close to restaurants, shops, and metro is under 10 minute walk away. The room is small but not unpleasantly so, it has all the necessities, as long as you don't mind a Korean style shower this place is perfect for the price it is! Just be careful as there is no elevator, but the staff helped us carry up our bags so we were ok.

Clean hotel, great price for location, the entrance is a little hard to find at night so I just cut through their parking garage. If you are looking for a clean budget friendly hotel in a good location this is it.

Would not stay here again. I didn't like the customer service from hotel staff - English was limited, staff did not make much effort to assist with any queries, reception desk was not always attended, bed sheets were not changed once in my 5 night stay.

Little gem for the price
I gave GV Residence a 3 for services just because we had to continually ask for more that 1 bath towel every day. Two of us staying in one room equals a need for 2 bath towels. The bathroom is small compared to what a westerner is accustomed to. The bathroom measurement is approximately 14 by 6, very efficient. The location is excellent, situated in the center of Itaewon-ro with easy access to everything. Yeah, small incline to walk up but not a big deal. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was mediocre, eggs, veggies, toast and the coffee is brown water. For a good coffee in Itaewon I recommend Paris Baquette, skip Starbucks. Over all an excellent experience.

The room is clean and comfortable. Myself and my boyfriend really like the room. Receptionist was really nice and all of them speaks excellent english. They prepared simple and nice breakfast like home. Great service and warm hospitality. Only complain is the bathroom a bit too small. And the slope back and forth from the hotel (very good exercise).

Very small room. You pretty much have your shower in front of the vanity. However, the location is perfect! So easy to get to anywhere in seoul! The tiny hill is really not much of an issue.

GV Residence was clean and comfortable, although the room was much smaller than the photos indicated. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was great, near the subway and a fun area of bars and restaurants.

GV Itaewon
My son lives in Itaewon and recommended the GVR. The perks: breakfast provided; washing machines in (some) rooms; and it's close to everything in Itaewon. It's only a few blocks from the Itaewon subway station--and the airport limo shuttle pickup/drop-off is about a block away. The hotel is CLEAN! The daily breakfast was mostly Korean fare with cereal, toast, and eggs. I met some very interesting people from all over the world in the small dining area. My next trip to Asia will probably not be to Korea but if I return to Seoul, I will stay at the GVR again.

Korean Style Guest House in the Shopping District
This is small Korean Guest House that has a distinct feeling of the old style family owned hotels. It is smack dab in the middle of Seoul's famed downtown Itaewon Shopping District. I arrived to a very welcoming environment where the staff was very helpful and accommodating.

The people were lovely.
I wouldn't return there. There was no good chair or light to sit for reading in the room. The bathroom had the shower mounted to the wall (no enclosure) and the breakfast was disappointing...weak coffee, only white bread for toasting, overcooked scambled eggs, no yogurt, it was more of a Korean style lunch for breakfast. The mandarins were lovely.

Close to everything in Itaewon
Staff were friendly, helpful and delightful. Beds were clean, crisp and comfy and rooms also kept clean, towels changed daily. Small kitchenette for your use. Small bathroom with handshower. Close to everything, walk up hill a bit hard at times...but that is the experience of Korea!! I really enjoyed my stay and in fact I have stayed at GV twice and will certainly stay again. It is a residence, a mixture of Korean/Western style.
