Lovely hotel & friendly staff & a great location.
The Hotel is conveniently close to the main road, only a few minutes walk, where you are able to access the subway (Jongno 3- ga station) and also the 6002 airport bus service to and from Incheon airport (currently 10,000₩) we did have trouble finding the hotel when we arrived, but were kindly driven their by the local police. This is one of the main aspects I admire about Korea is that people are willing to do their best to help assist you in any way possible even if they know a limited amount of English. The hotel staff are very polite, friendly, accommodating and can speak English. In the first week of our stay we had trouble accessing the hotel wifi, they tried their best to fix the issue however we still did not manage to connect. They then moved us a few floors down and it worked out well. The rooms are nice and clean and provide enough space to fit luggage. The twin beds were really comfy and we had no trouble with easily falling asleep. The bathroom is also clean and provides enough space to place things around. Breakfast is served in the basement floor and provides a nice selection of continental and western food and drink. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend it due to the efficient service received and as it is within the city center and close to a lot of popular places in Seoul.

The hotel is conveniently located 2 minutes from an airport limousine bus stop, so it is easy to get to and from the airport. Arriving, the lobby was welcoming and proved to be a great congregating area for our large group before we headed out. Our room (twin) was comfy, and the bathroom was very pleasing and very clean. The only problem we had was that the hairdryer would overheat very quickly and cut out (and it seemed to happen in several of the rooms) so we would have to dry our hair in 5 minute blasts. The tea facilities were down the corridor from our room which was very convenient, and as there is a fridge in the room we could store milk in there. The beds were very comfy, and there was a decent amount of space for our luggage so it was mostly out of the way. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and could speak English, helping give directions or ordering taxis for us. I didn't always make it down for breakfast, but what I did sample was good, mostly a continental style, but I enjoyed the dumplings most. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel location
Hotel is near to Jongno 3- ga subway station. Use Exit 14 which has escalators going up and down (instead of Exit 15 which are with stairs) to get to hotel. Follow the map/direction as indicated in hotel website to get to hotel. After exiting from Exit 14, you will be on the road level. Turn back and walk past Exit 15 which is on your right. Take first left turn into narrow alley, continue walking until you see the alley forks into a left and right lane. Take the right lane and you will see a 7-11 store on your right shortly and the hotel is on your left (in front of 7-11 store). The alley has shops on both sides. When the shops are closed at night, the alley is very quiet. I was all right walking through it during my 3 nights stay.

Doulos Hotel Review
We walked out from the train station and had to walk thru dark alley ways to get to the hotel late in the evening. We bumped into a police officer on the main street and he without hesitation walked us to the hotel. It was just us getting accustom to alley ways and streets of this nature. Otherwise, the exterior of the hotel is beautiful, near public transportation and had a nice stay there.

Pleasant stay and wonderful staff
A pleasant stay in hotel Doulos, very convenient (only 5 mins away from Jogno 3-ga station, which is connected to many lines). The staff was fantastic! especially Joon Bi Moon who helped me and friend one night! Thanks for the care. Polite and helpful staff. Buffet was lovely, and food was always available (usually had breakfast at 9am).

Loved the locations. So close to different metro stations as well as bus stops. Just off the main street so it was quiet, but still close to so many restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was delicious. Room was small, but comfortable.

Affordable Luxury!
Hidden gem in the alleyways of Jongno! Hotel had a luxurious feel. Rooms were small but adequate for couples,business and solo travellers. The breakfast was really good and comforting. Very close to airport limo bus halt and subway station.

Clean and good location
The double room was small, but clean. Bed comfy. Barely fit with two suitcases, but this is quite normal for Seoul. Maybe some more hooks on the wall to hang other items than coats. There are tea/coffee making facilities on one of the floors, happy it's provided. Breakfast was okay, convenient to have it.

Great breakfast
Nice little hotel tucked away on a side street, close to subway, restaurants and street food vendors. The room was small with very little space for clothes or luggage. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The highlight was the included breakfast with a good selection of food (even dim-sum dumplings), everything was tasty.

Fit for purpose!
We had a comfortable stay. The rooms were a little small but manageable. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff at the reception were helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is a bit hard to find as it's tucked behind the main road in the narrow alleys but it's close to the metro station and few touristy attractions. Would definitely recommend.

The room is very small only have enough space to put one bed. The breakfast is quite okay but easily running out. The worst thing is they charged us money when we checked out 30 mins late. Very calculative.

nice clean and great location for everything.
All staffs were so kind and intelligent. they all spoke Korean, Japanese and Perfect English. Great breakfast and super clean. most restaurant are near and great location for commute to public buses,subway and even airport transportation. Definitely I will go back there to stay. Thanks for CEO's effort. Just missed -Me and my wife really wanted to join employee's worship services every Thursday. Mr.CEO, Is there anyway we can join service? I will be appreciate it if we can join next time. Thanks Million!

Enjoyable Stay
Location is great because Metro Jungo 3 is there and within walking distance are 3 different lines. Also the Airport Bus Stop is in same area so very convenient location. The rooms are small but the bathroom is full size which is nice. The included breakfast was very good and has some variety. The self service laundry area was convenient and saved money. The entire staff were great and made me feel so welcome and were extremely helpful with a special thanks to Chung at the front desk. If you are on a budget but still want to stay in a nice business type hotel, then I highly recommend the Doulos.

Super helpful staff and close to city centre!!
We stayed here for 4 nights and had an awesome time! I suggest staying at this hotel if it's just for two people. The room was very small but you get your money's worth. There was a buffet breakfast every day. The staff were REALLY helpful and spoke really good English.

The front desk staff was really attentive & polite all the time! They speak English pretty well too! Room is tiny but good enough, but they have central AC system so I was not able to change the room temperature, it was kinda hot at sometimes. But overall was great!

A great hotel!

Business hotel without amenities for business men?
The hotel can be difficult to locate and hence directions should be more detailed than provided. The room is tiny but still looks modern. It is pleasant and although there is only reception staff at any time, each has been helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast staff do not speak English, so don't ask for an omelette. The breakfast has sufficient food but the same day after day. I wish for a daily such with more Korean delights other rice and miso soup. For example, ginseng chicken soup, bulgogi, bim bim bap, grilled mackerel, korean shrimp-cake, etc. Overall, amenities not-business standard (e.g. sauna, newspapers), boring breakfast and impersonal although staff are truly helpful and friendly.

Hotel staff was really great but room condition wasnt good enough. Maybe thats why it was cheaper compare other hotel around..first of all room was really small we stayed in double room non smoking. Room was really tiny and didnt have any closet to hang or put clothes. So we needed to out luggage on the floor and it was hard to walk around because room was full with small luggage on the floor. And it was non smoking room but it smelled..And pillow was too soft to sleep with. Room was just old small hotel room but service was very good and location was really nice to go shopping sightseeing,food...

The hotel is located in a narrow street about a block off the more busy main streets and is modern and clean with many staff that speak some English. By taking the alleys as directed by the hotel staff, we were within 5 min of a subway station. Our std double room was tiny and safe, but clean and modern, and nice bathroom with hairblower, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shower cap, lotion, etc, but no washcloths, as seems typical for Asia/Europe. The free breakfast is primarily Asian style rice/soup/meats/limited veggies, etc, plus sliced bread, rolls, some fresh or canned fruit, OJ, milk, limited cold cereal, boiled eggs. They provide 2 bottled waters a day and a locked storage for luggage if needed. We used kims shuttle prearranged for airport transport to and from the hotel since we had a middle of the night arrival. The cooling/heating system seems to be slightly underpowered, given that as you leave the room, you take the key which also shuts off the heat/cooling. So upon return to the room, it can be very warm/stuffy, and seems to be very slow to provide change. We ended up using the window for ventilation as it was quicker, but would have preferred not to. Otherwise, we felt it was a good value though for us as vegans not totally enamored with Korean food, the breakfast was inadequate.

Enjoyed my stay. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was small as expected and storage area was minimum. Bathroom had nice shower/bathtub. Beds were comfortable. Housekeeping would service room everyday and bottled water was provided which was unexpected . High speed wireless internet was provided in room/hotel. Slippers and bath robe also provided. Breakfast buffet was filling and had enough variety to please most and is consistent. Coin operated laundry facility on site was convenient (3000 won to wash and dry). Located just a couple of blocks from Insa don and a short walk to bus station and metro. We were able to enjoy a lot of local area just by walking. Lots of things to do in surrounding area with a great amount of food choices. Taxi service is pretty cheap with taxi stand near by. We did a lot of shopping, walking, and sightseeing during our stay. Be sure to check out the Jongno district for more thing to do.

Central located 3*hotel with great staff
Stayed 4 nights at the Doulos and found the location and staff to be excellent. In fact, the staff were the stars of the hotel as good or even better at 5* establishments. Overall condition of the hotel is new, modern and sleek with dark lobby furnishings and glass enclosures. There is a underground parking lot and a very fast and clean elevator. in the sub-basement is the laundry facilities with full-sized washers and dryers (1500 won) and free detergent for use. The basement is the buffet and multi-purpose room. The food spread was the same each day but it provided a good variety of western and asian food. Room: we booked a standard double room and expected a small room and that it certainly was. The bed was firm and the sheets/duvet quality was very good. There was a flat screen tv, mini fridge small enough to fit 5 bottles/cans, and a small desk with chair. There were hooks on the wall with two hangers and no closet or drawers, which made storage challenging. Bathroom was a shower/tub combination had a sliding door that left a sizeable gap. Window opened out with a screen and the air conditioner was strong. Location was very central to the subway and walkable to the main shopping districts. A bit tricky to find the hotel at first try but once you do, you will appreciate that it's off the main busy road yet seconds away from the action.

Really enjoyed my stay here at the Doulos Hotel. I was there for nine nights, so I had a good opportunity to evaluate a lot of its features. Breakfast (with a pretty eclectic menu that included rice, hard boiled eggs, cereal, miso soup, fruit, salad, and dim sum) was consistent, and it was all included. Fast wifi and a convenient location made it easy to get around the area and navigate the subway system. The room was quite small, but definitely enough for one person. I thought the bed was super comfortable, and there was a fridge in the room for any of the drinks or snacks I purchased. I liked having the air purifier, which helped cool the air a little when the central heating got a little stuffy. The staff was super friendly, too. While I wouldn't necessarily give it 5 stars if I'd had to pay the full price (which I gather is $100+/night), I caught a fantastic deal on this site where the average price ended up ~$55/night. With that value in mind, I'd say the Doulos Hotel was 4.5-5 star worthy.

A small hotel, clean hotel located a couple minutes walk from Jongno 3-ga metro station, convenient stores, restaurants, banks are all within a few minutes walk. The hotel staff are very polite and are willing to help if you have any requests, and they greet you every time you enter and leave the hotel which is a nice touch. The room is small, but this is expected for a business hotel, however the washroom is quite large bolstering a full tub. A few scuffs on the walls, and a crack in the ceiling, but really only superficial. Room has a TV, an 'Air Cleaner', and a small fridge, but does not have a personal electric kettle to boil water. The second floor has a vending machine, complementary tea and coffee plus hot and cold water if you need it. Free breakfast is what you might expect, nothing really too special, but the dining room is quite nice. Staff, besides front desk, don't seem too professional but nothing major. Overall, no complaints, good value for price you are paying. Recommend for couples or students.

I spent 2 nights here. I found someone's hair on my pillow and on the duvet, which was not good. Also the floor looked very dirty. I asked for a quiet room on a high floor well in advance, but was given a noisy room right next to the elevator on the 2nd floor. Please note that I booked very far in advance. I only stayed for 2 nights so I was not going to make an issue out of it, but if I were staying for longer I would have complained. The staff are very friendly and speak good English, which was a pleasant surprise.

Neat and clean, but very small room for two people
Hotel is centrally located behind a major road in a small street. A little difficult to locate for the first time. Airport bus stop for 6002 is just 3 minutes from the hotel and it is the best way get around from airport considering one and half hour drive. Breakfast is adequate hotel staff are friendly. The room is very small but clean. Checkout is 11am and any additional hour they charge about $10 which is Tom high.

Hotel looks quite used .... room was clean clean but sheets on bed had some dirt on it. The bathroom was really clean but bath had a lot of scratches which makes it ugly. Hotel personal was great .... Breakfast was OK not great.
