Nice hotel

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: It's close to where I needed to be over the weekend, and close to all stores and restaurants. The rooms are located close to the outside doors too.
Cons: Would like to have had a coffee maker in the room.
Location: Located near all stores and restaurants, near colleges as well. Easy to get back on the highway.
This is the second time we have stayed here, our first experience was good, so we came back. Everything was clean, staff was very nice, and the rate was very reasonable.

Pros: Queen beds
Cons: Put coffee makers in rooms
Location: Very close to shopping district, about 20 min from outlet malls
The room was Ok, only one chair so most had to sit on the beds. The comp breakfast was good. Probably wouldn't go back as the price was too high for this type of hotel and room. Hallways not so nice. Restaurant bathrooms were disgusting. No coffee maker in room or clock.

A Step Back in Time...

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: The bathroom was clean. The price was the best around.
Cons: This hotel is in need of some updating on the outside curb appeal and inside the rooms. The lighting was horrible. The plumbing needs attention.
Location: The area is wonderful with lots to do in Geneva and around Seneca Lake.
Our stay felt like it was happening in the early 90s. It was a very dated room with no glam to speak of whatsoever. The tv in the room was still a tube tv, not a flat screen. Although clean, the room was small and dark. The beds were not comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was none to speak of and it did not drain quickly. The stairway up to our second floor room appeared to be very unsafe and in dire need of a paint job. My reservations for a king size bed were not honored. The housekeeper knocked on our door at 7 am because there was no "do not disturb" sign to be found. It was a strange place overall.

close to Geneva College

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: location
Cons: customer service
Location: geneva college, lake
It is functional. Reasonable priced. In downtown Geneva, close to the college. It is a fine place. They can make this place much better with a little attentiveness.

Close to Lake

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Rooms were a bit outdated.
Location: Great location. 5 minute drive to Seneca Lake. Near several wineries and parks.
We stayed for a weekend to visit Seneca Lake and the local wineries. Lobby was closed at 10pm, even though it was listed on several websites to be open til 11pm and we called to let hotel know we were running late. Room was mainly used just to sleep in as we were out for most of the days. Had to request new sheets first night as one of the beds had dust/dirt on the sheets. Breakfast options were decent - waffles, bagels, cereal and several juices. Was pleasing for the price and length of stay. Our room offered a microwave and fridge which was a plus.

Worst Value Hotel

Posted 30-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
. It was not disclosed on Hotels.com that I would be charged a $10 per dog fee. As I was traveling to a local dog show and this was listed as a hotel that accepted dogs this was upsetting and cost an extra $30. Can you say bait and switch? The room was acceptably clean but the exterior was very poor and when we tried to shower at mid morning there was no hot water. I did not enjoy going all day without a shower. I will not ever stay at a Americas Best Hotel again and I will likely never use Hotels.com again.

Better than Exxpected

Posted 29-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
The America's Best Value Inn in Geneva was better than the reviews we read. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and the breakfast was just fine, thank you! Microwave and refrig were a bonus. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There is a lot of road construction in front of the hotel this year but there was no noise the Friday night we stayed. We will stay there again.
