Nice room, bad neighborhood

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: The room was clean and nice
Cons: The buildings could be renovated by painting
Location: The state park is nearby with a nice splash park
The hotel was in not so nice of a neighborhood. There was a low income housing complex connected to the hotel. Also there were many rooms rented by the week to low income people. The owners live on site and were nice, just not really high class people. The buildings were old with paint crumbling on the outside, but the room was clean and did have 3 nice beds. The room was very expensive for what we got, $150 per night. It should have been an $80- $90 room.

very basic hotel

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: staff was very helpfull and nice
Cons: since it is only a basic hotel for a nights stay, not much can be done to improve the rooms or bathroom
Location: there is not much to do near by, except a good restaurant up the hill which was recom. by the staff and did not disappoint
the rooms are very basic but clean and newly painted and decorated. with a small TV, chest of drawers, a view cloths hangers, one chair and desk,

Cheap hotel near finger lakes

Posted 3-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Location: Seneca Lake is only 3 minutes drive. Lot of other nice places to visit
Chose this due to closeness to the lake; only 3 minutes drive. Other than that there is nothing to write about

Oldie but the staff work hard to try to keep it up

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly and hard working.
Cons: Upgrade the TV and bathrooms. Get the smell out of the rooms.
Location: Lake Seneca and wine country.
When I first pulled up to this hotel I was uneasy because of the foul mouthed people living in the room near mine. As I entered the room, it had a negative smell to it and I was tempted to just leave and lose the money that I had invested. Mind you, I paid $110 plus taxes for this room so I certainly did not expect to find a low end room. The bathroom door stuck, the front door stuck, the back window had no screen, the bathroom fixtures were old and worn. Having said all of that, the staff worked hard to make the best of the place. They were very kind and both responsive and forward. If the room did not smell, I would have probably given this place another notch higher in the rating. I just opened the front window and left for about 6 hours and by the time I got back it was not so bad.

Never again

Posted 28-May-2014
Pros: Not much - the first receptionist was pleasant and the towels were clean.
Cons: Read above
Location: Beautiful area full of wineries, good golf, and beautiful scenery.
Selected this hotel as they showed up as "pet friendly" in a google search. Being it was coming up oj the Memorial Day weekend, choices were few. By the time they added in the additional pet charges, the room was over $70 per nite. That would have not been bad had the room been average or better. But this hotel is in bad need of a complete remodeling. The room smelled musty (I had to purchase air fresheners to even make it tolerable) and the bed was well worn. The "Continental Breakfast" donuts were terrible and the coffee mediocre. We departed a day early and since I had not given them 48hrs advance notice (which I though was to cancel the overall total stay, not depart early. It wasn't like they were turning people away) I was billed for the last nite even though we didn't stay. The end result was over $500 for five nites and a bad experience. Brand name hotels from now on.

Jacuzzi worked well. Room was very clean. We thought that it was a very quiet room.It is located in a very convienient location, close to food places and a small mall within walking condition if you like to walk. They also offered a continental breakfast which was very nice.

Could be decent, except for the smell

Posted 19-May-2014
This place is pretty much what others have said. It is fairly clean and inexpensive. The BIG issue is that the rooms have a very heavy musty smell. The rooms are clean, so I am not sure where the smell comes from, but it is very bad.
