“Very happy”

Very solid place to stay. Great location and good price. No problems whatsoever. If you don't want to spend a small fortune for accommodations (which you can in Sedona) and really are just looking for a comfortable place to rest after a fun-filled day in Sedona, this place is for you.

“Room With A Great View”

This hotel was recently renovated and the rooms were not high luxury but VERY nice. The views from the hotel and beautiful courtyard are spectacular. The value for the price is very good.

“Kings Ransom rocks! Enjoyed every minute of our stay!”

Great service and very clean room. We arrived early and the desk manager called housekeeping to see if things were ready and they allowed us to check in early! The heated pool was awesome, the kids were swimming outdoors in 40 degree weather! Enjoyed the hiking trail located just behind the hotel and the continental breakfast was fabulous! Very impressed and would definitely choose Kings Ransom again!

“Good basic hotel with great location”

Nothing fancy. Just a decent, quiet hotel with excellent location. Think 1960's HoJo skeleton with a lovely western exterior and 2000 furnishings, including a 26" Vizio flat screen. Uptown (shops and dining) is maybe 1/2 mile away. Tlaquepaque (artsy craftsy village with shopping and dining) is a 10-minute walk away. Nice beginner hiking trail Marge's Draw is 200 yds behind the hotel. After a tough first 200 feet straight up a hill, if feels like you're in the middle of nowhere surrounded by desert flora, mountains and stone formations. Single queen room was kinda small but functional, clean, and included a fridge. Shower provides body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Balconies are shared with 1 neighbor. Great view from balcony. I had a "View" room. My only complaint was the loud click or ding that the heater did every 15 minutes one night. Fortunately it was warm enough to turn the heat off and just run the fan. It's a weird system. The fan control (Low, Medium, and High) is a different switch in addition to the standard home thermostat. You had to activate the fan (which provide great white noise for sleeping BTW) to run the heat or A/C. That's what made me think 1960s HoJo, plus the shared balconies.

“Quick Sedona Digs!”

I booked the room at Kings Ransom and was very pleased considering the area and price. The room was comfortable and mostly clean. The carpet could use a good cleaning or replacement, but overall I was very satisfied. The continental breakfast amenities, however, left much to be desired. Breakfast was to be available from 7-9:30 am. We got to the breakfast room a little before nine and it looked like a tornado had struck (well, maybe in AZ it's a sandstorm). There was food everywhere, the tables hadn't been wiped off between breakfast patrons, and the waste cans were so overfull some people had left their dirty paper plates, etc., stacked at the end of the table holding the cereals, milk, breads, etc. There were no supplies left to make Belgium Waffles. Someone finally came in to refill the milk pitcher, but most items, except cereal, bread and muffins, were nearly gone. I guess I would say, if you're going to offer the amenity of a continental breakfast, keep the room clean and the food well-stocked!

“"Could have been better"”

The hotel was nice. However, we brought our dog and was not informed when we booked this location that we only had a limited option of rooms to be pet friendly, so we had to down grade rooms at the last minute, and pay more for a downgraded room. The front desk attendent needs to work on her customer service skills, she was not very friendly and made us feel bad about asking her questions. The pool was not working (which was said to be year round heated), the main restaurant was closed for Valentines Day (which we really wanted to try). Overall, the trip was very nice, just with some minor details that I wish would not have happened

“If you want to stay in town go somewhere else”

This hotel is not in town as some reviews suggest, you have to drive into town. If you want to be in the middle of the shopping district, stay somewhere else.
