“Very modern - Great location”
A very nice modern stylish hotel. Sad to say the pool was under maintenance when we were there - one of the determining factors why we chose the hotel in the first place. Location was great and free parking a definite plus. Would be even better if a restaurant was attached and TV allowed you to pay per view.
“Great hotel, great location”
Great hotel. Recently built. Great location. 5-10 min walk to Space Needle. 20-25 min to the downtown/market. Parking/internet/pool. Quiet area.
“Anytime I'm we're in Seattle we will definitely stay there. Lovely experience.....”
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. My overall experience was great. The staff was very accommodating, with directions and eateries. We had a wonderful time in Seattle. It reminded me of San Francisco. All except the weather is a little colder. Thank you to the Hotel Staff of the Maxwell Hotel.....
“Great Stay”
The Maxwell Hotel has got a lot going for it--good Seattle Center location, friendly staff, well appointed rooms, and really comfortable beds. It's an excellent downtown choice.
“Maxwell Hotel”
This hotel is definitely worth the price - comfortable room, bottles of water + coffee + popcorn + free parking. I didn't like having the TV directly over the desk, so I ended up working from the bed in order to watch TV. I'm looking forward to having a pizza restaurant on location- I did not feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood by myself so an on-site restaurant would be greatly appreciated.
“Son's birthday get-a-way”
Our son wanted to go to Seattle for his birthday to watch the Ducks vs the Huskies, and take in a little sight seeing. He was the first to find the Maxwell, but it was a toss-up between that hotel and Holiday Inn Express, which we have stayed numerous times. Although we have had great stays at the Holiday Inn, we chose the Maxwell based on reviews. Boy were we glad we did! We did have party goers next door the first night and the hotel front desk wasn't very helpful, but that didn't change our impression of the place. The rooms were terrific and the proximity to the Space Needle was very good. There really isn't much else around there but it was a great fall weekend and walking was fine. The short ride on the monorail into downtown Seattle was fun and allowed us to explore with ease. Yes we will definitely stay there again.
“Great Hotel”
The Maxwell Hotel was very stylish, immaculately clean, and moderately priced. It's on the north side of the park where the Space Needle, the Experience Music museum, and other museums/performance venues are located -- not downtown Seattle, but still a good and convenient location. We would definitely stay there again!
“Nice modern hotel near the event center.”
Great if you are attending a concert at the event center. I was only there for a short time so I didn't get to wander very far, but there was absolutely nothing going on in the immediate area the evening I was there. I loved the room though, and everyone was nice.
“Nice hotel, carpeting would help a lot”
The hotel is nice but due to lack of carpeting in the rooms it is loud. The lobby was nice, the area is good and close to Seattle Center. Great area to see shows, of which we saw 2, and to go to the needle & EMP. Now to the problem of noise. When we first walked into the room it was quite a different look for a hotel room. It was more of an apartment looking space than a hotel room. That was a compliment. Hardwood floors looked great. Later that night we found the problem, it sounded like troops were marching overhead & to the sides as well as the hallways. Too bad, thank god for sleeping pills.
“Great area, lovely hotel”
Would highly recommend the Maxwell. Got there after a 15 hour flight and reception team could not have been more helpful - the car park was full but they arranged for one of the contractors to move their car so we could fit in and even stood in the space to save it for us! Also free parking, wifi and water in rooms - popcorn and microwave was a nice touch, and the free coffee and cupcakes in the lobby at 4pm were yummy. Only slight downside for us was the softness of the beds but that is down to personal taste Hotel is right next to the Space Needle complex with plenty of restaurants - would recommend the MacInnins (sp?) pub - husband very impress with chiplotle chicken and the ahi tuna was yummy. For a fun romantic evening go to The Melting Pot (5mins on Mercer Street) for fondue fun - go to the bar area to sit by the fire - only have starter and salad so you have plenty of room for the chocolate fondue dessert! Recommend walking down 1st Ave to Pike Market and downtown as the roads nearer the sea were a little dodgy, or you can catch the monorail for $2 one way. Science Museum ONLY if you have kids. EMP (Music and Sci-Fi) was excellent if (understandably) Nirvana focused...
