“Good hotel”
great hotel, only negative was the stairs. when you shop all day and your carrying bags you hate to have to walk up those stairs. while just 2 flights its a minor knock about this hotel. Overall the atmosphere and Deco were great. Would stay again.
“Yeah, would probably go there again.”
I had a Belltown Jr. Suite with the window to the atrium. Pros: Nice room and furniture, good internet access, coffe and tea for free. Good bed. Wide range of TV and radio stations. Excelent steak restaurant. Helpful staff. Cons: Problems with remote of the ventilator. No breakfast. Noise from wending machine next to my room. Noisy AC. One morning there was strong smell from the restaurant, like there was burning something. I had to get up, open the window, run the AC and ventilator to clean the air. It happend only once during my week stay.
“Warm & cozy. Chocolate chip cookies included!”
I love to pick non-chain hotels, and this is a quiet place with only 17 rooms. The location's great for those who want to walk and explore downtown Seattle. Rooms are very comfortable. 2 things to keep in mind: There's no elevator, so you'll have to lug any suitcases upstairs. Second, it seems geared toward classy, romantic interludes. Lighting is dim and every room has only 1 queensized (but very comfortable) bed. The awaiting bottle of champagne tipped us off. However, my kids loved the complimentary chocolate chip cookies!
“Perfection”
We arrived early since we were coming from Central time to West Coast time and they allowed us to check in early with no problem. The room was better than expected. The bed was soooo comfortable I wanted to just stay in it the whole time, but since we were on or honeymoon we also wanted to go see the sights! The "Sound" view was a little disappointing but I didn't stay there to see the water from my room. The location was perfect for where we needed to go and what we needed to do. Everything is in walking distance as long as you are able to trek around. The restaurant there is pricey, but we had a great meal in celebration for why we were there. The prawns were excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful whether we needed a recommendation for a place to eat or asking them to get us transportation at 5 in the morning. When, not if, we find ourselves in Seattle again we will definitely stay at El Gaucho!!!
“Lovely small central hotel with very spacious room.”
In Seattle for a week on business. Picked this and very happy. Great bed, spacious room with sofa, stereo, two big windows that open!, a good bathroom, desk area, free fast wifi and relaxed friendly staff. No restaurant but above a very nice steakhouse and loads of delicious bakeries, bars and restaurants. This area is between the Pike Place Market waterfront and the Space Needle. Just a short walk from the larger hotels downtown. No gym but good jogging routes through waterfront / sculpture park etc. Very much recommend for business, or pleasure. Great find.
“Best airport hotel by far above our expectations”
This hotel was amazing very modern and chic and what's great is they are all over the world close to all major int. airports they were very accommodating and helpful with everything there is an awesome bar outdoor fire pit with activities if your traveling with kids or you and your travel partner want to have some fun. Also the location was great it's basically inside of a shopping center surrounded by great restaurants and bars.
“Go for the location and price...NOT the service”
After driving HOURS from Forks we arrived just before 11 pm. You have to go up several steps to get to the lobby and the attendant seemed annoyed by our presence. When we asked her where we were supposed to park she told us after 10 we could pay for street parking (2 hour max= $4), but we had to move the car before 10 am. OR if we had a voucher we could just park out front and leave her the keys. I shuffled through maps, directions, itineraries, etc and couldn't find the voucher I printed off of Expedia. I asked her if there was a business center so I could print another one. She simply said, "no." She never offered to tell us where we could find an internet cafe much less let us borrow a computer for 2 minutes to print it out....even though she was sitting at one. When we went to move the car shortly after, we came back and the door was locked. We ran the buzzer twice and got no answer. Finally, I rang it again and the same attendant opens the door saying, "I'm coming, I'm COMING!"....pretty annoyed at us for buzzing three times. Now, I understand why she didn't want to help us with the parking voucher...she didn't want to have to come down to even open the door. Neither of the two days did we feel very welcome, except when we left a man named David (who was super friendly) helped us with our luggage. The room was clean and nice and the location was great. So if that's all you're looking for it's not a bad place to stay. We'll definitely look elsewhere next time though.
“Can't wait to go back”
I was a little skeptical about this hotel and questioned if the actual room would look anything like the photo. It wasn't until we walked up to the front lobby that I knew we had picked the right place. The ambiance is warm, soft and comfortable and customer service was spot on. Very happy to report that our room exceeded expectations. The leather couches were heavenly comfortable and don't even get me started on how luscious the bed was. Complimentary chocolate chip cookies and Evian water, could it possibly get any better? We only stayed one night but would definitely stay here again for a longer visit. Looking forward to lounging in the lovely bathrobes sipping some bubbly.
“Walking distance from Key Arena”
Overall- we had a decent stay. The valet was convenient and we enjoyed The Panther bar just a block away, The roon was adequate. We had appetizers at El Gauchos around 5:30 (wonderful food!) and the lounge was packed. The only real disappointment was our late night room service. We ordered a couple of baked potatoes and some stuffed mushrooms. 40 minutes later two, stone cold spuds and some limp sauteed, sliced mushrooms showed up, For this delicacy we were charged $38.00 upon check out.
“Nice for the Price”
Clean, kinda funky hotel with a distinct 1950's flair in decor. The bed lines were heaven! Close enough to Pike's Market to walk. Staff was extremely helpful.
