“Nothing But Trouble”

Bad mistake getting a room with this hotel!!!!! The "free" transportation from the airport to the hotel I had to call 3 times and it was almost an hour wait. Each time the hotel clerk said "no more than a 10 minute wait". At 4pm they still didn't have a clean for me, so they said they would put me in a room with 2 queen size beds....AT NO EXTRA CHARGE!!! Then at 11 pm, one of the hotel owners was banging on the door saying I had to leave because I wasn't authorized to be in that room and he was calling the police. The "free" high speed internet hardly worked, I just gave up trying to use it. When I tried to get the transportation to the airport the Manager said I didn't sign up and they were too busy to have a van take me to the airport. Finally after a 45 minute wait I was given a ride!!!! This is not a bargin hotel, spend a few more dollars on getting another hotel, it will be well worth!!!!!

“Scary”

I was frightened. Mystery stains, dirty sheets, I have never been anywhere that nasty in my life. They did pick up promptly and drop off promptly. The pictures and amenities are total fabrications.

“Good for a one night stay”

Hotel was decent - you get what you pay for. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Area recommendations
Location of hotel was nice as it was within walking distance (15 min.) to the light rail train that took us into downtown. Subway restaurant down the street open 24 hours...also friendly staff.
Getting around
The light rail (train) can take you to the airport or into downtown. Each way was very affordable and well worth the money and not having to drive in traffic.

“definately not to go back”

I stayed two nights on family vocation in this hotel nearby seattle airport, but with an uncomfortable experiece. The hotel room lacks proper cleaning, cloth hangers felt sticky and you have to wash it first before use. Airconditioner too noisy and take long time to warm the room. Airport pick-up is offered but it took 40 minutes to come to pick me up. Only good for overnight stay for an early flight the next day. Close to airport but not noisy at all. Overall, I will not stay at this hotel again.

Area recommendations
The areas where Microsoft is located are really worth of a visit.
Getting around
To travel in USA with a rental car is possible for residents of China and is really an exciting experience. I rentied a car thorugh Expedia which helped me to decide the type of cars and what price you will pay. As I arrived at Seattle airport, I took the shuttle and signed the contract with the rental company. Remember to have your credit card and a driver's license ready. An English version of your driver's license is necessary. A notorized copy is most helpful. The cost of rental includes three parts - (1) car rental with price range depending on the types of cars you rent, (2) insurance, including third party liability, theft, damage and loss, and (3) medical treatment insurance. A GPS is most helpful which does not cost much. There is also a chinese language channel in the GPS. To return the rental car at airport is a common practice. There are rest areas along the popular freeways such as Interstate 5 and 101. All retal cars are automatic, but it takes just a few minutes to learn though most Chinese have manual cars.

“This hotel is not for everyone”

Our room was very spacious. It reminded me of an open-plan studio apartment complete with a small kitchenette area, dining room and chairs. There was a coffe maker - the carafe was the wrong one for the pot and so it overflowed. stoneware dishes and mugs. Silverware. some microwaveable dishes, but the microwave only ran on preprogrammed settings, and a mini-fridge. I believe there was an ironing board and iron but i didn't use them. The bathroom was nice sized, but the toilet continued runnig. I tried to fix it but I finally just turned the water valve off. My daughter had a tub bath and I opted for a shower. The stooper for the tub didn't work so we used a washcloth. And the water for the shower went from scaldingly hot to ice cold the entire time i was in. I would have said it was clean, the linens certainly were, but I didn't appreciate the half empty beer bottle on the bottom shelf of the nightstand and the fact the carpet was obviously filthy. We would have changed rooms but with an 11 year old and on a 3 hour deficit time-wise east coast to west and it bing nearly 1:30am Seattle time (4:30 am ours) we just collapsed. The continental breakfast was typical and boring. We would have walked to a restaurant but the hotel is near nothing. I would not recommend this hotel until they make a few changes. That being said, if they can "clean up their act" I think it might be an unusual place but agreeable place for the money.

Area recommendations
As a native of the area I can say there are too manyplaces to name. pike place market, the university district, broadway, etc. there is great food, especially Seafood! Great coffee, wine, beer, jazz: grunge music started herei There s the underground downtown, the aquarium, Woodland park zoo, theater, dance, symphony, opera, great shopping, art. For those who are interested there is the Native Indian influence, the lakes, and water related activities ,hiking, fishing, boating, kayaking. If you can get to Tacoma Pointe Defiance Park is great and the Zoo there is excellent. there is also the water park and amusement rides park Wild Waves. There is something for everyone. Seattle is Definately worth a visit! Just bring your umbrella. And if it is nice be sure to look for Mt. Rainier.

“Cheap ... but old”

This is a cheap hotel but nothing like the online pictures. It is old and dirty. I didn't feel particularly safe. However, the driver who did the airport transfers was wonderful and even drove me to Southcenter Mall and came and picked me up again!

“Convenient to Seattle's Light Rail System”

I had booked Sutton Suites due to Seattle's accomodations being way over-priced. The hotel did show it's age, however, my room was very large. It had a King bed, full kitchen, dining table and a living area. TV reception was lousy at best, however, I rarely watched the TV. There were large drawers for clothing, too. My microwave went out and it did take awhile to get a replacement, however, I was away so I really didn't miss it. I did choose this location because the Lightrail to Seattle was within walking distance. Parking in Seattle borders on extortion and the lightrail was a great alternative. Even though the hotel has it's little problems I would stay there again.

Area recommendations
Sea-Tac isn't too big so I would recommend any hotel near the light rail. This widens your options for travelling to Seattle.
Getting around
Again this hotel is walking distance to the lightrail. Next year when I return to the Seattle/SeaTac area, I'm going to save some dollars and ditch the rental car and use the light rail.

“Not Impressed”

Did not like Hotel !

Area recommendations
We could not make it home from our flight that evening in why we had to stay the night by the airport. That is why we were in that neighbor. Would suggest finding a different Hotel.

“The Worst Hotel Experience in Sea Tac Ever”

This place is not thoroughly cleaned, very old building with a rude front desk lady. She is not polite in any way and asks as if its a hassle you are there to check in. She will not speak in English to the staff (driver etc) and will glare. She was unwilling to accommodate or apologize for the disgusting room she gave us. She just kept saying her computer screen says it's clean. She argued with me when I insisted that it was not and I will not stay in a dirty room. She then says I have to cancel with Expedia and cannot cancel directly but when I call Expedia they say I have to cancel with the hotel directly. Awful customer service but I suppose it goes with the awful hotel. Do not stay here it is better to find a comparable rate at other hotels nearby and save yourself the grief we did. I let my company know to not book through this hotel anymore. We stayed at Red Roof Inn near this hotel and were welcomed with a friendly staff and nice CLEAN room. Make a wise decision and do not book at this hotel ever unless being yelled at after being ignored for over 20 min is your normal check in experience.

“Not What Expected”

I had read reviews and had some mixed. For a quick overnight with shuttle service to SEATAC it is okay. There is no elevator so you need to carry everything up stairs. Things definitely need to be attended to in the room we were in.
