“Convenient and Comfortable”
We found the staff helpful and courteous. The location was convenient to airport and interstate access. Rooms, although lacking all the "bells and whistles" were comfortable and clean.
“We will be back”
We use this hotel as a stopover to Europe. We had the opportunity to swim in the nearby lake. The desk clerk Rena was extremely helpful. Called the different malls in the neightbourhood to check the opening times and there is a shuttle from a mall that will pick you up at the hotel. Breakfast is good, with fruit, waffles, toast, yoghurt, cereals, eggs, coffee, tea and juice. Very friendly server to make sure there is enough. The shuttle driver will take you to the sky train and he showed us where there are good restaurants and parks.
“Good location - Poorly maintained.”
The location was convenient, hotel employees were friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was nice, but the hotel seemed poorly maintained. The worst part about the hotel was that the air conditioning did not work. We had to keep the door open to the hallway to try to get a little cool air. The windows were operable, so at least we were able to open the windows at night after it cooled down, otherwise it would have been horrible sleeping conditions.
“Very Convenient”
One person in our party had a problem with their room, but the hotel took care of it immediately. We wanted to go to a ball game in Seattle. The staff drove us to the Silverline, picked us up, and gave us directions to the Stadium. Would stay there again if passing through Seattle-very convenient to airport!
“Worst I Ever Stayed At”
This hotel was a bust from the moment we walked in. It was dirty in the lobby, hallways, eating area and the room. Cannot believe a hotel in that condition is still in business. We used it because we got to Seattle late and had an early morning flight and it certainly was convenient to the airport. Knowing what I know now I would have opted for something 20 miles away. Strongly suggest you avoid this one!
“Good for overnight stay but beware of late check ins. No frills. But decent place to stay.”
Super 8 was overbooked for non smoking rooms the night we checked in.They blamed it on poor coordination of the online websites and their reservation system. We were immediatley asked if we would take a smoking room. I declined the offer. They were able to get us in a non smoking room, but other guests who came in shortly after us had reservations, were not happy that the rooms were booked. The hotel clerks were busy calling around to neighboring hotels to find non smoking rooms, and they were all booked too. This was 11:30 p.m. at night. The positives were that it was clean, bed is fine, complimentary breakfast is okay. We needed a good night's sleep before driving to Idaho the next day, and that was what we got. At the end of our vacation, we stayed here again, to catch our early flight home.. We had none of the problems regarding overbooking of rooms, because we checked in around 6 p.m. We also had a second floor room, which seemed nicer and was much quieter. Very clean .
“Good location & Clean room”
The location is good and the room is clean. The carpet, furniture and bath room fixture, however, is old and need replacing. The cost is very reasonable. As in other Super 8, the breakfast area is small, basic but adequate selections except for the bad coffee.
“You Get What You Pay For”
The location of the hotel is surrounded by many business and conveniently located near the airport and light rail. The rooms are satisfactory, but the breakfast leaves some desire. However, you could certaintly stay somewhere else, spend more per night, and not have any of the key amenities. Overall, you get what you pay for!
“Nice place to stay”
We arrived in Seattle to run the marathon and were very pleased with the quality of the rooms. The location is close to the airport with a free shuttle to the train that goes into town so a car was not necessary. The complimentary breakfast was a welcome discovery. This made it much easier to start our day, especially since we didn't have a car. The woman in charge of the breakfast was very welcoming and eager to please the guests. We told her we would miss breakfast on the morning of the marathon because of the early morning race start and she volunteered to come in early and open up for us. This was beyond the call of duty and we really appreciated this. On the negative side the shuttle bus was a little disappointing on race morning. We had a strict schedule because of other public transportation that we had to catch and we told the front desk that we had to leave at 4:30am sharp. No problem they assured us, the bus will leave on time. When we got there at 4:30am the bus driver did not want to leave until all his passengers had arrived. We told him we needed to go and he was not very nice. Finally at 4:45am the late passengers arrived and we were climbing the walls thinking that we were going to miss our connections. If we had known the bus did not leave on time we would have requested a 4:00am departure. If people can't show up for the bus at the appointed time then they deserve to wait until the next one.
“I will stay there again when traveling to/through Seattle again.”
this hotel was conveniently located near the airport, a 7/11 and Denny's. Also, the room was clean and comfortable with soaps, shampoo, TV, phone, AC and heat...all the basic comforts i look for in a hotel room at an affordable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends or family staying close to SEATAC. plus, and possibly most importantly, the staff including front desk employees and van drivers, were friendly and helpful.
