“Home away from home”
The Salish Lodge is like going to visit your wealthy grandparents, warm, homey and at the same time quite elegant. The rooms have been beautifully remodeled with very comfortable beds. The service was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was 4 star in service and food. I recommend trying their signature Bloody Mary, the best ever! The falls were stunning.
“Great hotel in the perfect location, but construction hurt experience”
My girlfriend and I decided to stay at the Salish Lodge for our anniversary since we've been to the falls and the hotel many times but never thought we could afford to stay. Our room was on the third floor (same floor as check in and main restaurant). The room was very nice but it didn't have a balcony, only a window which looked over the river 50 feet or so before the falls. The front desk was extremely nice and accommodating, and found a room with a balcony two rooms to the left of ours. This room had the same basic design as the other but with a narrow balcony which had a view slightly more up river. The view was blocked a little by a tree straight in front, but to the right we had a clear view of the top of the falls going over. Unfortunately PSE was doing a huge construction project on the river which really hurt the view across and up the river. The rooms are very nice with a romantic feel, and have a woodsy design with some Native American elements. They also feature nice wood burning fireplaces stocked with wood, and a jacuzzi with various jet and light settings (yes, it has multicolored strobe/flash/constant lights underwater). We ate at the smaller restaurant upstairs which is very good and has a good atmosphere (although no good view of the falls), especially at night . Then we walked down the short path, with many great views of the falls along the way, that ends at a large viewing area. It was a great experience, but it's pretty expensive.
“Famous for a reason...”
Having lived in the area my entire life, and visited Snoqualmie Falls several times, I was curious to see what the hype about the Salish Hotel was all about. We were delighted! The food is outstanding, and the hotel staff truly deliver superior, personal, unhurried service. They went out of their way to acknowledge our anniversary and provide special details. I personally enjoy that the hotel does not have the "big chain" feel; it is unique, local, and has original prints and art, as well as local food and decorating touches. The rooms are not impersonal - unlike large chains, they actually entrust you with actual glassware and stemware, and decorations that aren't bolted down, as if you are staying in someone's guest room and not a hotel. Their breakfasts are some of the best, if not THE best, in the area. You are never rushed, and every detail is attended to. Our room was plush and cozy. The entire hotel has a comfortable feel...as if you are staying at a large cabin home instead of a business; so you can mentally and physically relax in addition to pampering yourself. The original Asahel Curtis prints in the library are terrific, and the falls themselves offer nonstop beauty and romance.
“Rustic comfort close to Seattle”
Terrific lodge with a rustic beauty but not as isolated as we thought it would be. Service was great, all the staff were helpful and the food at the restaurant was out of this world. The most comfortable beds and bedding we've experienced. In fact we bought a set and had it shipped home. Spa service was good but not as impressive as others we've been to. Overall, wouldn't hesitate to go back given the opportunity.
“hotel”
hotel was great just the steam room didnt seem to work
“A little something extra”
I would be sure not to book room 313 again. It is a beautiful room with the water view, however, there was something else in the room other than us and we had to ask to change rooms in the middle of the night. The glass jar lid in the bathroom kept slamming back into the jar.
“Not worth the cost”
This hotel room was nice enough. It had a nice tub and a fireplace. But it had no view. Small balcony opened to back of hotel and dumpster. View rooms could not have been that muuch better as hotel is built behind falls. Room was definitely beginning to show its age. Hotel offered nothing exclusive for guests- No pool, No seperate balcony or patio. The spa was open to outsiders, as was the restaurant and the falls. Save your money, stay someplace else and come visit the falls. Not worth the cost at all!
“The Snoqualmie Jewel”
A marvelous place to stay. The greatest of amenenities, spectacular view and food.
“Romantic getaway -- yes!”
Famous lodge perched above beautiful Snoqualmie Falls. Seen in Twin Peaks. Terrific room decor, spa, and food -- this place has it all.
