"Read the fine print..."
I recently stayed at the Edgewater with a colleague while we were in town for a national conference and our overall experience was very nice. The view we had from our room may not have been amazing, but the fire place in the room was a pleasant feature, and very welcoming. As for the rest of the room, the only thing I think could have been a little better was the soap dispensers in the shower were a little worn, so they didn't dispense quite as well as they should. But this is being VERY knit-picky. Overall, the room itself was very nice. The only issue that I had a pretty serious problem with was the "Facility Fee". This is one of those fees that's in the "fine" print. The facility fee is a fee that includes use of the "business center" computers, shuttle service, AND fitness room! Normally I wouldn't see a very big problem with this type of fee, but I didn't even know we were getting it charged to us until the day we checked out! I had NO idea, and like I said, it's in the "fine" print, and it's kind of vague. Plus, I understand charging to use a computer, or even charging to use a shuttle, but I have never been to a hotel that charges you to use their fitness room. And I've stayed at plenty of hotels. Fortunately, I was able to talk the front desk into waiving this fee because quite frankly I had no idea we were getting it charged to us, and it's pretty ridiculous, but all in all it was a very nice hotel. Great view, and nice staff.

"No tv or phone service"
Bad timing I guess, but they had a computer system upgrade that went amuck on the weekend of 3/20. TV reception was spotty on the first week on March Madness, plus the phone didn't work, and it lasted the whole weekend.

"5-star Facility - Awesome"
The Woodmark sits on the shore of Lake Washington on Juanita Bay. If you're seeking a gorgeous and restful stay, you will not be disappointed. Everyone from the valet, front desk, housekeeping -- top notch. I admit that I'm a picky guest but could find no fault in this facility. At check in, I showed my Expedia Gold Plus card and was upgraded to a king one-bedroom suite with a private balcony, 1.5 bathrooms (full bath en suite with jetted tub an desperate glass rain shower). The room (#219) had an unconstructed 180-degree waterfront view. Bespoke amenities were first class. Wish I could've stayed more than one night.
