“surprising great restaurant, but not a quiet night's sleep”

Be sure to ask to not have your room facing into the atrium as the noise from it echos all the way to the top floors. We asked to switch rooms in order to be able to sleep. Then, we were on a floor that was hosting a large group - however, the hotel staff was quick to deal with their noise. The restaurant, Aquaterra, was fantastic! The food quality and selection was great - especially the healthier choices, very Seattle-like. It surpasses "hotel" food expectations at a reasonable price.

“Restful pitstop”

We had a lovely time during our stay at the Marriott at Sea-Tac Airport! We had a first floor room with a delightful garden view. So relaxing as we just wanted to rest after all of our travel and before the last leg of our trip. Exactly what we were looking for.

“Great base camp”

Turned out to be overall a very good hotel. Free, frequent shuttle service to & from the airport. Appealing look inside. Large indoor pool and patio with huge glass skylight above; however the chlorine smell was a bit overpowering. Within walking distance of mass transit rail; we used it to go to the Space Needle. No major airplane noises in spite of proximity with airport. Included restaurant and adjoining coffee/pastry stand had decent food, handy for weary travellers who don't have a car. Room was nice, no problems. A bar and a free business center were nice touches. Staff was prompt and courteous.

“Good for early departures near Sea Tac”

I only stayed overnight. Overall hotel condition was good. Room service offered a decent selection and the food quality was very good. Only thing missing was a refrigerator.

“Wonderful place for a family reunion.”

Everthing was top notch. The food in the restaurant was five star quality. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Area recommendations

Visit the waterfront community of Des Moines. Wonderful view of Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains, nice restaurants, and antique shops.

“Loved the pool”

Pool area was very nice, although the second hot tub was not available until the last day of our stay. It was very pleasant during the week, quite peaceful and relaxing. The weekend was much more hectic with quite a few kids/teenagers staying there and taking up the pool and hot tubs. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel was located very near to public transportation access as well as having their own shuttle service. I would recommend this hotel to others, especially during the week.

Area recommendations

Downtown Seattle. There is tons to do and see. Plenty of shopping, and varieties of food. The art and sculptures were gorgeous, and the view of the waterfront is amazing.

“Great service”

My husband and I plus our 2 children (3,10) stayed for 1 night. The staff were friendly and the room was clean, the only thing was the room was a bit on the small side and 2 double beds instead of queens, and no mini bar. As this was for 1 night we were not that fussed. All in all we would stay there again but upgrade to a bigger room.

The city area as it is close to amenities.

“A nice Marriot”

The room we got was small but the price was right. It did not have a refrigerator but they were going to put one in our room free of charge- unstocked. We decided that we didn't need it. We stayed on the indoor pool side and if I had to do it over, I think I would have stayed with a view of the outside. It was good and close to the new train sytem which takes you to downtown Seattle. It had a great shuttle service to the airport only minutes away. We planned on staying in downtown Seattle but it was all too expensive. This hotel had better rates and had a very good restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Area recommendations

Seattle is a fun city to visit. I suggest seeing as much of the city as possible. Take a bus tour.
