“No Parking, Noisy”
This hotel is in a vary old building that has a strong musty smell, that probably cannot be helped. The neighborhood is in downtown Seattle, close to space needle, within walking distance of EMP, and just a short drive to Seattle Art Museum and Pike Place Market. The neighborhood is very noisy, think sirens all night, didn't get much sleep between that and the horribly uncomfortable beds. I went to Seattle on business, did not have my kids with me, thankfully. I didn't mind the hotel too bad, despite the smell and discomfort factor, but the deal breaker is that parking is an additional $15 for the day. We used the 8pm to 8am free street parking, then moved the car to a cheaper lot in the morning. The hotel staff is very friendly, however.
“A nice relaxing stay”
The hotel has a different layout but is inviting. The staff were all knowledgeable and helpful. It was a wonderful place to stay. It is out of the downtown core but close to Key Arena and public transportation was very convenient (5 - 8 minutes to downtown) and did not have the hassle of dealing with a car.
“Reasonable place to stay.”
older building but very comfortable. Could use a kettle and a toaster. very reasonable and close to transportation.
“great rate, but, poor bed!”
We love the location, and, the price, but, expect a sub-par bed. We both awoke with back-aches. This being stated, we are in our early 40's, so this may be a reason...This said, customer service at the front desk was wonderful. And, it is located closely to downtown, and, the Seattle Space Needle.
“Good service”
Good staff and service.Parkig fee is 15USD per night. Location is so so but acceptable.
“Great”
Very nice hotel
“Local Hotel Close to Seattle Center”
I participated at a weekend activity at the Seattle Center and this hotel is across the street. It couldn't be more convenient. Rooms are dated and some noise during the night which I attributed to Oregon Duck fans celebrating. Went right back to sleep. Staff went beyond expectations. Helpful to the extreme. Parking 2 blocks away at "sister" hotel for same reasonable 24 hours parking fee. Will stay at hotel next year. Many restaurants in neighborhood made it easy to find satisfactory meals.
“Vacation location”
The hotel was fine, like visiting your grandma's old house. We picked it for the location, planning to use the bus lines.
“Convenient”
The hotel has age and character. It was very close to the Seattle Center, which is why we chose this location. It was a short walk to find groceries. The room had a refrigerator and stove, but there were places to eat everywhere.
“Quaintly romantic, unique details”
Yes, it is older, but I would use the word 'character' for this lovely little hotel. It is well-maintained, and my husband and I really appreciated the peroid details. We only slept there, a little small to hang out in, but the small fridge was handy to store groceries from the nearby Safeway, or doggie bags from dinner. It is right across from Key Arena and the Space Needle area, and a cool neighbourhood with funky restaurants and bars. Saw a concert, droped our jackets off in the room before heading to the bar. The convenience factor was priceless. Great price! Great place! Very friendly staff and no bugs! No parking was a bummer, but there are lots of lots nearby.
