“Stay in Seattle”

“Overnight Stay”

This was just a quick overnight stay. The hotel was in the perfect location for me, just 1 block from the University Light Rail stop. I did have a hard time spotting the hotel as it is just a few rooms in an apartment building, so you need to look for the Apartments at Harbour Steps instead of the Inn at Harbour Steps. Even though the weateher was cool outside, the room was kind of stuffy and I never really did get it cool, but it wasn't too bad and the room was really quite nice. Breakfast was also good.

“Stuffy hotel, stuffy staff,”

this is actually an apartment with a few units they rent out as an "Inn" -- but there is no hotel service, and the room itself was stuffy.

“Best Location in Town”

The location was convenient to Pikes Market, the underground tours, the Museum is directly across the street and local transit is a block away. The hotel itself was very quiet, well maintained common areas which included a library, gym and even a basket ball court. The morning breakfast was excellent and the afternoon happy hour was great. The rooms were comfortable, clean and mine even had a fireplace. My room faced out into a private garden area for the guests at the hotel. I will be using this hotel the next time I travel to Seattle.

“convenient location”

The hotel stay included a very good breakfast with lots to eat and a good variety. It also included an afternoon tea with wine, cheeses, veggie platter and a dessert. It was fun to visit with other travellors and enjoy a glass of wine and goodies.

“Inn at Harbor Steps”

This is probably my favorite Seattle hotel. It is mainly apartments, with a few rooms saved as hotel space. In the past, I've stayed on the bottom floor of the main building, in rooms with little garden areas and small kitchens. They are a little more luxurious than the room we stayed in this time, but we needed a room big enough for my mother, my daughter (25) and me. The room was perfect for our needs. The afternoon 'tea' with tea, coffee, sweet treats, wine, cheese, fruit and crackers was great fun and the breakfasts were yummy (this coming from someone who rarely eats breakfast). The Inn at Harbor Steps is really good at pampering guests. As our reason for visiting Seattle was to choose mother and grandmother of the bride dresses, with the bride in attendance, we were ready to celebrate. The Inn at Harbor Steps just made it that much easier. The only small inconvenience was crossing from the main building to ours in the chilly weather, but really, can they be held responsible for that weather? Six thumbs up from three generations.

Area recommendations

There are lots of great areas in Seattle. The Inn at Harbor Steps if right downtown, so it was convenient to everything we needed.

“Perfect!”

This place has a great location near museums, the waterfront, and Pikes Market. Everything within walking range. The staff was helpful, friendly, and courteous. Would easily go there again!

“great! very much enjoyed our stay”

fantastic location- very short walk to pike place market and right across the street from the seattle art museum, very nice breakfast with some homemade treats, very comfortable room with nice features like fireplace, courtyard view, robes, good hotel amenities like workout room , spa and sauna. Only complaint was that the afternoon tea/wine needs a little improvement but other than that i would definitely recommend it...i think it's better than a regular hotel room at a similar price because of the added features.

“really lovely Seattle inn”

The Inn at Harbor Steps is in a great location; easy walking distance to the Public Market, Seattle Art Museum, lots of shops and restaurants. Each morning, a delicious breakfast buffet was served, including an egg dish, cereals, pastries, breads, and muffins, juices, and fresh fruit. At tea time, wines, coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks were served along with cheeses, veggies and dip, and a delicious cake or dessert bread of some kind. The room was spacious, with comfortable bed and seating, a large bathroom, wet bar with refrigerator. The only amenity I might have wished for was a microwave. The staff was great; friendly and helpful. Paid parking was available. I will certainly stay there again when in Seattle.

“Great location, terrific rooms, check-in a problem.”

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The rooms and service are great. The only problem is arrival. There are only two temporary places to park on a busy city street. If they are full, or if you miss them, it's a real problem coming around again. You must then figure out which entrance to use. Get buzzed in. Then finally, once you've checked in, get a key for a garage around the block. If you're prepared for this, you'll do fine and have a great stay! If not, you'll have a bit of a problem, then you'll have a great stay!
