“Annual Christmas Visit”
Staff at the front desk always try to help. Restaurant food is very good and the service is very friendly. great location-cloas to the Seattle Art Museum. We usually stay at this hotel when we travel to Seattle and I have never been disappointed.
“Great value”
I enjoyed everything - the room, the desk staff's helpfulness and friendliness, the location, the goldfish roommate ;), and the wine reception each evening. For the price, it is well worth it!
“Gold(fish) medal”
From the sparkling goldfish that greet visitors alighting from elevators to the stellar personal service of the Sazerac staff, to its Minoan inspired lobby murals this is a don't miss hotel from the classy Kimpton folks.
“Christmas shopping trip”
Always love to stay here!
“Leopard Print Bathrobes!”
This hotel is beautifully decorated, convenient to boutique shopping, lovely restaurants and coffee shops. The tree lined streets made me forget I was downtown amongst sky scrapers. The hotel staff was attentive from the moment we stepped from our car at the curb. The bellmen were helpful and stored our luggage until we could check in. The front desk staff informed us of where we could find find restaurants, restrooms and suggested activities while we waited for our room to become available. We walked to the Space Needle and Experience Music Project from the hotel (about a 30-40 minute walk). Both places had high entry fees, but well worth it. Try to have a coupon in advance. When we returned to the hotel, we checked in just in time for the wine and hot toddy social in the lobby. The guest we friendly and having a seemingly good time. Sazerac, the adjoining restaurant to the Hotel Monaco, was a nice stop for brunch. As with the hotel staff, the restaurant staff were also attentive and professional. Also, the leopard print bathrobes in the rooms are great! I swore I'd wear it until the second we checked out! We had a fabulous stay and will return to this hotel in the future.
“Even a fish in a bowl...”
My family had the opportunity to stay at the Kimpton Monaco hotel over a three-day, two-night span. The room was clean, though the goldfish died by the third day (thank goodness our daughter is a baby, that would have been an interesting thing to explain otherwise). The concierge was great and the wine reception was a nice thought, though to be honest the wine was as cheap as expected. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others though I would recommend getting a room with at least a king or two doubles if you plan to bring a child (even a four month old!)
“OK”
Stayed overnight to attend 5th avenue show after Thanksgiving. Super location but disappointed in the hotel. Started with Room keys not being acitivated and ended the evening ordering late night room service that resulted in a very old BLT sandwich that looked like someone squeezed it with his thumbs. Upon checkout was told it would be 15 minutes for my car and checked at 20 minutesto find no one was getting it. Overall nice and ploite staff with a clean room but expected much better.
“Great Experience!”
Looking a one night get-away in the city and Hotel Monaco was just right. We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff and really enjoyed the wine reception in the afternoon too -- nice touch!
“Great Seattle Hotel”
Great locatiion for girls weekend, couple's or family getaway. Hotel is clean, quiet and staff are curteous and well versed in tourist activities and restaurants tto recommend in surrounding area. Within walking distance of all major sites downtown. Area is safe to walk at night. Free wi-fi and fitness room, which other downtown hotels tend to charge for. Parking is costly but cheaper than other hotesl in the area. Would definitely stay here again. Be sure to eat at Wild Ginger, food is innovatiive and delicious.
“Great location and luxurious rooms”
What a nice surprise it was to find this gem of a hotel. The staff was very friendly and competent. The location couldn't have been better. Everything in the hotel was well taken care of and every detail looked after.I would recommend this hotel for all.
