“Enjoyed the hotel”
Everything was as it should be. I liked the dispensers for soap and shampoo. I liked the decor - nice hardwood floors - plenty of room, interesting decor. No problems with anything, and price was reasonable.
“Better than what we expected, great location”
Hotel 5 wasbetter than what we expected. Looked over lots of online reviews of the hotel, so we were anticipating some things (tight parking, parking fee). Staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs. We needed a room change due to heater not working. Change was made within the day. Decor was modern; exactly like the online pictures. Toilets were a little loud. Walls thin. Lots of noise travels from hallway into rooms. They are still doing construction on the lower floors. Location was excellent; walking distance to Pikes and great restaurants in Belltown. Food at Max's restaurant in hotel was great, but only open for breakfast and lunch. Top Pot donuts (1 blk away) are to die for. Monorail was not noisy at all. Would definitely go back.
“Social Security Hearing”
Room was adjacent to hearing at the Federal building where I had a hearing scheduled and was very convenient.. Rooms were very eclectic and upbeat in decor and road noise was zero. Parking garage was a little scary and not very secure - could be significantly improved upon - a lot of corners and dark areas where people could hide. Also the parking garage was used for storage and was unsightly. Room - remote didn't work. Asked for extension cord (often needed for those with medical CPAP machines) and didn't have one on site - major zero here. No one to assist you with your luggage - you had to haul it all up to your room. No luggage rests in the room, yet there were tons of them sitting in the garage, so no place to put suitcase. Beds VERY COMFORTABLE AS WELL AS SHEETS - HIGH QUALITY LINEN! Excellent view of the Space Needle. All-in-all, if you have business or pleasure in the outskirts of downtown, or don't mind walking a little ways to downtown - go for Hotel 5, but Hotel 5, please make the corrections noted - they are very very minor in nature....
“Just ok”
This was a good location. Hotel and rooms were ok. I selected them based on a good price.
“Great location”
Great location, easy walking distance to popular attractions. Rooms on floors 4 & 5 have been newly renovated and are clean & attractive. Nice decor in the lobby as well. When I saw my room looked out to the train/rail, I was initially concerned that noise might be an issue. But the room was always quiet, even with occasional construction, and I was able to rest without interruptions. I enjoyed having the Keurig coffeemaker in the room. My only complaint/disappointment is with the quality of service from the front desk staff. This was my first trip to Seattle, and I looked to them for recommendations. I did not think they were very helpful, and the advice I was given was often not very useful. I did better just discovering things on my own. Not a huge thing, and everyone was friendly/courteous...just do your research before you go. Overall, it was a very nice stay.
“will choose another hotel”
The hotel staff were not friendly at all. They did not show hostability to welcome guests. No restaurants/cafe shops surrounds this hotel. I had to walk in 15 minutes to find shops/restaurants.
“Pleasantly surprised”
Conveniently located between Pioneer Square and The Market. We parked, and walked everywhere. Had a great time. Great room. Could improve by installing mini fridge.
“Aussie Recommendation”
I gave up waiting for the breakfast room to be opened when 10 minutes had passed the opening time. The only breakfast we had at the hotel (5 Sept) took 45 minutes for cereal and toast to be served. it was quicker and cheaper across the road at the small cafe. Although the rooms were modern, they were cramped. However, we enjoyed our stay.
“I'm definitely returning”
This is the first hotel I will go out of my way to return to. I was treated very well, the hotel services are great, and location is near to everything in downtown Seattle. They provide free parking for guests. They even refunded my first night's stay with no fuss when my 9pm flight was cancelled and I wasn't going to arrive until the following day. I thought for sure I was going to be out of luck! The hotel has an amazing new look, to the hotel itself and the rooms, making the stay there very unique. They also have a restaurant downstairs for breakfast which is really good. I loved my stay here!
“Pleasantly surprised”
I was apprehensive to book here because this hotel didn't get the greatest reviews. But we came to Seattle to party and the location was perfect to do that. We were within walking distance to all the main attractions. The room was what I wanted for the price. I would definitely ask for one of the renovated rooms. They are pretty cool and have nice amenities. I would stay there again.
