“weekend get away”
The hotel was great, clean inside and out. The parking lot was safe and well lite. My car was in a well lite parking lot. The only issue i had was i wanted a king size bed. And had to pay extra for the upgrade. Other than that it was above my expectations.
“Just a very convenient hotel for overnight stay”
check-in person was very friendly. Room was as advertised. Not many amenities, but a very convenient hotel for an overnight stay
“IMPRESSED”
For a 2 star hotel, we have nothing to complain about. It turned out very nice. The beds were comfortable. Good size room and you have everything you need. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I'd definately come back to this hotel again. It just took us awhile to find it since it's at the corner other than that everything was all good.
“Nice hotel”
This wasn't the best hotel I've ever stayed at but I've seen worse, much worse. The bed was comfortable and the shower provided enough hot water to take a nice, long shower. My room had a small kitchenette that I didn't use but it would be nice to have if I was staying longer.
“Good hotel near new mall”
Nice hotel with very pleasant staff. The one drawback was that the bathroom was moldy and didn't smell good. The tub and tile needed to be regrouted. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay.
“Good overall quality hotel”
I had a pleasant stay at the Homestead. Bed was comfortable and room had all features (kitchenette, fridge, toaster oven, etc...) I slept pleasantly in the room (comfortable bed).
“Homestead is for the value conscious traveller”
The homestead in SouthCenter is an ok motel. It's not fancy by any means but if you are looking for something fairly clean and very affordable with laundry services, free parking and wireless internet for $5/week, it's a room to sleep in. The rooms do have a kitchenette with a fridge, range top and a microwave which can be nice for travellers that are sick of eating out or on a budget. Don't look to 'work out' here as there is no gym. It's close to major highways and a large mall and many restaurants.
“Good budget hotel”
Relatively inexpensive hotel. While very no-frills, it was clean, quiet, and convenient, allowing late check-in. My only complains are that the bed was overly stiff and they charged for Internet access.
“Wasn't that bad”
I was only in town for the weekend but it was perfect for what I needed.
“Cheap but disappointing”
We booked the rooms well in advance for a large group, but our five rooms were scattered on different floors and opposite ends of the building--not conducive to large group activities. Also, the stove and cooking utensils were not sufficient for multiple guests. Through no fault of the hotel, we were also overlooking construction on the freeway, so it wasn't particularly quiet or relaxing. Despite all this, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location makes it an ideal place to get around the area without any difficulty. Overall, an ok stay but nothing to rave about.
