“great hotel”

This hotel is in a great location (close to Alderwood mall), clean and friendly. The negative is that it is not very soundproof, I could hear my neighbours.

“Highly recommend this hotel.”

Very impressed with the hotel overall. Very clean and the room was spacious and well appointed. Loved the complimentary breakfeast a very nice feature. Location to malls and Seattle couldn't be better.

Area recommendations

The Alderwood mall had great stores and our daughter especially enjoyed the American Girl store.

When to go

Try to avoid a long weekend. The mall parking lots were almost insurpassable.

“Surpassed expectations”

A quality hotel that will not disappoint. Excellent breakfeast that is overpopular (and very crowded) at the 9:00AM closing time. Note to Self: "Get up earlier"

“Nice stay”

This hotel has by FAR, the best "free" breakfast ever. Nothing like waking up and having scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, bagals, cereal, juice, coffee, yogurt, etc. The list goes on and on. Rooms were always clean (we stayed here twice) and it's a breeze to get to - just off the I-5. You're only 5-10 mins away from downtown Seattle at a fraction of the price! Rooms are spacious and very clean. Employees were very friendly and when I needed a bottle opener - no problem! You're also within walking distance of shops and a 2 minute drive to Alderwood Mall (huge mall). The only thing I didn't like, was that there was too much chlorine in the pool as it made my eyes (and my kids' eyes) very red.

“Very Impressed - Reviews were helpful to choose this hotel”

We chose the HI Xpress from the Expedia reviews available and were not disppointed. Spent 3 nights there and found the hotel to be clean, staff helpful and breakfast included was bonus. Didn't use the pool or hottub so can't comment on these. Breakfast room does need more seating as every day we waited for a table. A few more luggage trolleys would also be good as they were in high demand each morning but these are small details. Would highly recommend this hotel for a good value, great rooms and service and we would definitely stay there again on our next trip to North Seattle.

Must see

Boeing tour was very interesting but drive yourself there - it's a 20 minute drive from Lynnwood. Pre-booked tours are $18 on-line but if you take the tour that picks you up by bus at the hotel, it is over $50. Driving yourself also gives you the flexibility to view the Future of Flight before your tour and then go back again after if so inclined.

“Very Impressed”

Very impressed with the room, the beds are so comfy I could have slept longer. The breakfast in the morning was so yummy loved the Pancake maker wish I had one it was wonderful. The only thing wrong was the elevator was very slow faster to take the stairs. They let us check in an hour early and everything we asked for extra towels, bandades etc they had very nice there. We will be back again!!

“Perfect for us!”

Nice, new hotel. Loved the hot breakfast. Really enjoyed the pool and the workout room... hours of both were wonderful. Great staff, great location.
