“Can't go wrong”
Comfy beds Great price Close to freeway, but not too close to be noisy
“Chosen because kids like pancakes; no batter both days stayed & didn't clean our room”
I usually look for a Holiday Inn Express because they typically have great breakfast for our family (yogurts, cereals, fruits, breads, pastries, AND either WAFFLES OR PANCAKES). Some also have indoor pools. Both mornings, no pancake batter was supplied for the machine; staff said "no". ALSO, room was not cleaned during our 2 night, 3 day stay. Decor was worn and I notice what looked like a dog urine stain on the doorframe by the laundry. At least the nightly cookies were good and they had a mini fridge.
“Noisy hotel + uncomfy bed = bad sleep”
I was at the Hilton Garden Inn with my family for a weekend stay. We had spent a long day shopping in Bellevue so I was looking forward to a good night of sleep. When we checked into the Hilton Garden Inn in Bothell there was some party still happening in the lobby lounge with many people. That was just minutes before midnight. By the time we checked in and settled into our room, the party finally quiet down but not before 1am. I should have keyed into a potential problem with getting a room across the hallway from the fitness room / swimming pool. That was my own oversight. No sooner than 7am were kids chattering and giggling heading in and out of the swimming pool. So much for sleeping in. Not that I actually slept much since 1am when the party ended. I spent almost an hour trying to figure out the sleep number beds in this hotel. The sleep number adjustment knob -- which is well hidden under the sheets on the side of the mattress so it is not obvious at all to its location -- seemed to be intuitive as the dial is rotated counter-clockwise for soft and clockwise for firm setting. To my back side, the knob seemed to be a complete placebo as either extreme settings seem to make no perceivable difference. In fact, I became so concerned about having the "wrong" sleep number setting that I kept thinking about what I might have done wrong. Adding to the wool mattress cover which my wife discovered in the morning, I did not sleep well at all since it was too hot.
“Slightly better than expected”
Price could be better. Rooms and service were great. Breakfast was mediocre but I wasn't expecting much. Coffee was terrible.
“Good hotel...but...”
Booked hotel online while travelling by car...for some reason very few hotels available that night anywhere in Greater Seattle...only had 4 choices and this one was the least expensive...next one was triple the price. Checked the night before and checked individual hotel websites as well...nothing. Asked for a non-smoking room...but got last room available in hotel, which was smoking. UGH! However it was either that or sleep in the car or go way far out of town…so had to make best of it. As we were signing in, phone kept ringing with desperate people looking for rooms… made us feel somewhat lucky. Staff gave us a spray for the smoke smell…which helped a bit…but clothing still smelled of smoke days later. We got used to it after a while…and considering the alternatives… what choice did we have? Little expensive for what one gets. Location was fine, convenient strip mall next door with drug store, food store, banks, Denny’s, etc. Fine restaurants a block away, ate fine evening meal at Outback…other higher end choices available. Hotel room and pool clean, hotel newer so looked fresh, bed comfortable, flat screen TV, iron and ironing board, bar fridge and microwave, free internet and parking (don’t get that often in downtown Seattle, especially parking which is very very expensive), free newspaper, free hot breakfast (good), but breakfast room small, freeway close by, quiet area, overall very good for the out-of-the-way suburban location.
“Wonderful staff and great hotel!”
The staff, all of them, were hospitable and gracious. The hotel and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also well presented and a great bonus to our stay.
“Great Service & Clean Hotel”
This was a great experience and we will stay at the hotel again. They were friendly, helpful and the hotel was well kmept and very clean.
“Very Good Stay”
A Very good place for the money with one exception, very slow internet
“Perfect Stay”
Extremely satisfied in all categories!
“Good Breakfast Buffet”
Location is good but room too small. I like the complimentary breakfast buffet, serving hot and cold food and beverages with lots of choices, much better quality than Denny's and exceeding our expectation.
